34: dodge ball

The holiday finally over and it's means they need to go to school again. Aera was having a bad feeling as she was thinking of ways to avoid Jake. Knowing that guy was her classmate and also sat behind her made her felt nervous and scared to face him.

About Yebin,

Aera still didn't talk to her and pretended like she didn't know her. Now, she only had Sunghoon and Jay as her friends.

She walked towards the gate and avoided doing an eye-contact with other students as they were still throwing hate on her about the accident at the school festival.

Aera slows down her step when she saw Jake was taking off his helmet and brushed his hair out of his face. It's been a few days since they didn't meet and Aera hates to admit that he was getting handsome day by day. She fixed his eyes on him, wanted to hug him badly because she misses him so much. Jake rolled his eyes when a group of girls from the junior year were approaching him and asking for his number while smiling like an idiot.

Jake took a step away from them and he finally saw Aera.

They both made an eye-contact but Jake quickly broke it off, acted like he didn't know her. He walked through the hallway alone without taking a glance at Aera who was walking behind him.

Aera lowered her gaze too, she was walking with her eyes fixed on the floor because she didn't want to feel sad because Jake treated her now.

Jay was walking through the hallway too and smiled when he saw Aera.

He walked in front of her, taking a chance to tease her.

He waited for her to go closer to him and stopped walking causing she bumped into his back.

Aera quickly apologized,
" I'm sorry."

Jay cleared his throat and acted like he didn't know anything. He turned his body to face her,

" I guess you like my back. You always bumped into me."

Aera chuckled as a response and rubbed her head.
" I'm sorry, Jay." She said making Jay laughed as her action was adorable.

" Let's go." Jay wrapped his arm around her shoulder and brought her to the classroom, walked past Jake without taking a glance at him.

Jake saw that and ignored them, walked into the classroom too.

" Good morning. It's been a long time." Sunghoon greeted her and followed her to her seat. Since Yebin didn't arrive at the school yet, Jay sat next to Aera for a while and asked her about her condition.

Jake went towards his seat too. He plucked his ear pods and threw his bag away before resting his head on the table, taking a nap before the class was starting.

Aera realized that his action was showing that he didn't care about her anymore. He didn't look at her, pretended like he didn't know her, and just mind his own business without feeling any jealousy when he saw Aera was with her friends.

They were being touchy as usual but this time, Jake didn't care. He completely became the bad and cold-hearted boy again. Aera was downhearted but she just ignored her thoughts because she wanted this to happen. She was the one who wanted to break up and told him to leave her alone, so he was just doing what she told him to.

" Let's hang out after school," Jay spoke up and placed his leg on Yebin's desk.

" Jjampong?" Sunghoon asked Jay and he nodded. " Since Aera likes Jjampong, let's eat that soon! It's on me!"
