The next few days passed by so quickly as I had the same routine without a single change in between. I woke up, had breakfast with the duke, walked around, went to the garden, read a book, ate lunch, read more books, chatted with Alya, had dinner and then went back to my room and went straight to bed.

I got used to my new lifestyle and surroundings so it was easier for me to go to sleep. I decided the day after the city tour that I didn't want to go to the party and the duke immediately agreed and was pleased by my choice and told me that I did well. After that, I didn't see him much except for breakfast. He was very busy from what I saw and heard as he didn't have much time to even have lunch or dinner and he'd always leave after breakfast and come back late at night. It was said that he didn't have much time to even have breakfast but he pushed some work aside to do in his free time so that he gets to spend at least the morning with me. I tried to tell him that with how things are going he's going to overwork himself but insisted that this is his job as my husband at least he should spend an hour or 2 with me.

Today was a difference though. Like usual we had breakfast together and so I decided to be the one to initiate the conversation.

"How have you been your highness?"

"Please drop the 'your highness' just call me Adrien. It would be more comfortable! And I have been well thank you for asking, what about you? I hope you are getting accustomed well."

"Yes, I feel comfortable now, thank you for asking!"

"That's good to hear."

"You look tired, have you slept well or at all?"

He shook his head.

"It's quite troublesome that I haven't been sleeping much for the past week. I have a lot of things to do so it has gotten out of hand."

"My goodness, you should've listened to me when it told you. I can help if you want since I feel quite responsible?!"

He seemed surprised that I suggested that probably because supposedly noble ladies don't usually like to help out unless it had to do with their benefits. But he doesn't know that I am not a noble lady but a maid that got adopted to marry him. The thought of him finding out the truth terrifies me since I tricked him not that it was up to me and if I could I wouldn't have accepted the sacrifice.

He smiled and shook his head.

"That's my job to do too. Don't worry there's not much left to do. I can manage by myself."

I sighed giving up on the idea of possibly becoming of use.

"Don't be sad, I don't wish to tire you out on your first week here." He said.

I shook my head. "It's no trouble at all. It's very boring for me when I'm doing absolutely nothing. Helping you a little would be a change for me."

"Thank you!" He smiled softly.

He really wasn't as how people said, he was a kind person.

It was night time when I was asked to go to his study so that I can help him. I was excited that I was finally about to do something. I knocked on the door but found no response.

"My lady, do you perhaps need something from his highness?" Nino asked.

"Oh hello there, yes, I was told about an hour ago that his highness Adrien wanted my help so I came here but seems like he's not in his room."

"Oh, I believe he went to pick up something from his room. If I didn't have many things in my hands right now I would go and call him for you," he started.

"No problem, I'll go tell him then. His room is right by the corridor right?"

He blinked before he nodded but before he could utter a single word I dashed towards the room.

I knocked but once again no response. This time, I decided to twist the door knob and walked in.

"Your hi- I mean Adrien? Are you here?" I asked as I walked into his room.

It was dark, the lights weren't on at all so I couldn't really see where I was or on what I was stepping. I made it halfway when I slipped on a peace of cloth and fell down. I was waiting for the impact which never came.

I was confused. I opened my eyes to see that I was on top of something or as a matter of fact someone. I could see blond messy hair and wide green eyes were looking up at me as I stared back. He looked breathtaking.

A certain someone came to mind when I saw his eye color and hair color before I stuttered.

"A-Adrien?"

At that moment I asked myself whether I really did marry that hot stuff I just saw or whether it all was just a dream.

I'm so sorry once again I didn't update as planned! Hope you like this chapter and I will try to update as soon as possible.
