"Y/n...?"

Bakugou's voice had gone soft, cracking slightly as he whispered your name. You could see tears glossing his beautiful crimson eyes if you looked close enough. A sharp pain was sent through your chest, tears threatening to fall from your own eyes, but you couldn't. You couldn't cry, it'd ruin your whole cover.

"Kill them." Shigaraki's dry voice seemed to echo through your mind; your mouth went dry as you turned to look at him with a terrified look, "Did I stutter?"

You turned back to Bakugou, then to everyone else who was trapped in your strings. All their quirks off, all of them defenseless. The sound of other heroes struggling to get back inside, Shigaraki yelling at you to kill them, your peers crying for you to stop-- it all flooded your head before hot tears rolled down your cheeks.

You looked back to Bakugou, eyes stinging from the tears and vision blurry. In a split second, it hit you... you knew what you had to do. Your eyes met his, a look of determination on your teary face. He immediately caught on, and it started.

You turned his quirk back on, and a large explosion was sent towards your blood-red strings in a second. The strings snapped and you were falling to the floor; everything seemed to happen in slow motion. Your peers bolting in different directions, your brother cursing out loud, Iida running to catch you in his arms... it all happened right before your eyes until everything went black.

. . .

As the fight goes on, the villains easily gain the upper hand. All of your peers and teachers were still taken aback by the whole situation, and class 1A was down on the ground. A dark smile creeps onto Shigaraki's dry face as his companion, Dabi, lights a flame in his hand and inches closer to where the class is huddled up.

That's when you wake up-- it was a miracle. Quickly gathering what was happening right now, you shot up and out of Iidas' arms. With all the strength you had, you charged at Dabi, tackling him to the ground.

He landed with a grunt, the fire that once sat in his hand, blown out. He tries to fight back, but you had wrapped a weak string around his hands and disabled his quirk. That's when Shigaraki pushed towards you, his hands moving every which way; but you were quick to avoid his moves.

Multiple villains charged at your weak self, most of them getting some hits on you, but with the help of some of the other heroes, most of them were taken down. That's when it was just the two of you-- Shigaraki and Y/n.

"It's just like old times, huh Y/n?" He laughed dryly, almost no expression shown.

"Old times?"

"Yes, yes..." he dragged the 's' sound out.

"Ah, that's right... all the times I beat you, right?" Without hesitation, you wrapped a string around his wrist and stopped him in his tracks. While he was still stunned, you knocked a foot into his face, and he was on the ground. Unconscious, "Guess I was always the stronger one..."

That's when it all hit you; the excruciating pain you were in, the amount of damage on your body. You turned to watch the pros take the villains away, then turned to see your friends were safe and well, then to Bakugou. He didn't say anything, he just nodded. That's when you let yourself fall to the ground once more, eyes slowly fluttering shut.

It was over. Right?

You weren't aware of how much time had passed, but by the time you had awoken, it was dark outside, and you were in a rather uncomfortable bed. Your eyes darted around the room, and eventually, you registered where you were. The recovery room.

A figure was seen in your peripheral vision; Bakugou. He noticed your slight movements and open eyes, and immediately bent down closer to you. His eyes were rolled with anger and sadness? He looked guilty too as if he did something wrong? What had happened while you were out?

Of course, to nobody's surprise, his first words were loud and angry, "What the hell happened to you?!" He snapped, mumbling a line of incoherent curses afterward.

Before you could scribble up a reply, he was rushed out of the room by a little old lady. Recovery girl explained everything that had happened since you yourself couldn't recall much. She explained that you would be stuck in recovery for quite some time, and wouldn't be able to do much training. It bummed you out, but the joy of being safe again was stronger.

She helped you out of the room and spent about thirty minutes helping you get used to moving around again. When you were ready, you left the room and headed toward the dorms.

Everyone was waiting there for you; a few frantically pacing the room, some talking about their worries, and others trying to figure out if you'd woken up yet or not. When you entered, everyone froze. The main room went quiet, and all eyes were on you.

It only took a few seconds before they got comfortable and rushed toward you with all sorts of questions. They wanted to know where you disappeared too, what had happened to you, who hurt you, if you were hungry or tired if you wanted a drink... why you did it

You tried your best to answer all the questions, but most of the previous events were a blur for now. You felt overwhelmed and tired-- all that you felt like doing was running away and hiding in your dorm. Suddenly a pair of hands wrapped around your waist, spinning you around to face a certain ash-blonde.

You expected him to yell again, to scream at you that what you'd done was reckless and idiotic, but he didn't. His head leaned down, forehead pressing against yours as his eyes met yours, "Are you okay?"

You felt a lump in your throat form, tears pricking at the corners of your eyes. Were you okay? Not even you knew how you were at the moment... everything aches, your body, and your heart. You felt terrible for what you did, but at the same time, you could hardly remember what you did. Everything was a blur, it all hurt to think of. Luckily for you, Kirishima had burst through the door and interrupted.

He stormed towards you, fury in his eyes. He had just returned from helping the pros interview some of the LOV captures, and was pissed. He pushed Bakugou away and turned to you, red eyes scanning your burns and bruises.

"Damn it!" He cried out, the angry expression fading as tears rolled down his soft cheeks, "Why the hell did it have to be you?!"

You felt your body tense up, that aching feeling in your heart returning. You were quick to move towards him, arms wrapping around his body as you hid your face in the crook of his neck. The two of you stood there like that for a while, before you pulled back and turned to the others, "I'm so sorry..." You croaked, "please, could you all forgive me?"

In an instant, you were wrapped in one big, warm embrace as happy 'yes's filled the air. Now you knew how you felt-- you felt happy, and at peace.
