Arctic, Endgame, 3.30pm

Nightwing POV

      The Blue Beetle, Artemis, Kaldur, M'gann, Conner stood behind me as we watched the three speedsters run around the last MFD that had already gone chrysalis.

I knew from eavesdropping on Jaime's conversation with his scarab that due to Wally's slower speed, he energy from the MFD that was looking for an escape would hit him.

That is going to hurt. A lot. If he were human.

The reincarnated decided to let it happen and I'll use my powers to allow him to be immune to the pain. Just before anything happen, we would pull him out. It would create an excuse to allow Wally to stop holding back and pretending to be the slower partner of Flash.

Even from a distance, we saw the MFD slow down and start to wane. Time to move. I subtly manipulated a chunk of ice to pop out of the ground. Just in time for Wally to trip over it. He tripped and fell, preventing him from vaporizing.

We watched as the last remnants of the MFD disappear. The six of us ran towards the speedsters. Wally was lying on his side catching his breath. The other two speedsters, Flash and Impulse were on their knees, panting like there was no tomorrow.

" You okay Wally? That was a pretty nasty fall." I asked. Screw the whole ' Arguing-best-friends' thing. " Just peachy. You could have given me a heads up." He grumbled. " Now where is the fun in that?" I grinned. " Arse."

We saved the world.... again, if you counted that time we fought the League to break the mind control. I think that a pretty big accomplishment.

The League arrived back on earth, thankfully without any pressing charges from some random alien court.

Nice to know your ex-mentor would not be locked up in alien prison anytime soon.

They, of course, held another party to celebrate the Team saving the Earth again. I'm starting to see a trend here.

Batman was back to his old paranoid self. He spent the whole party hiding in a shadow and trying ( and failing ) to find out more about his case on ' teenagers beating up random stuff'.

Too bad. I blocked his access to any material related to the demigods. Mwahahaha!

I probably should stop cackling in my head. Artemis is looking at me like I have gone nuts.

I looked up to see Kaldur walking up on stage to make an announcement. Hopefully it is not what I think it is going to be about.

" Could I have your attention?" He asked. " I just wanted to clear up a few misconceptions about various original team members..." don't say it. " ... and their relationships." And he said it.

" You see, I am actually dating someone. But it might be the person you would be least expecting." I could basically hear the smirk in his voice.

The audience that included both League and Team members murmured to each other their suspicions until Artemis lost patience and walked up to Kaldur. She reached up and pulled his face to her before licking lips with him. Go figure.

The crowd gasped. Someone asked the award winning question. " Wait. If Artemis is dating Kaldur, who is Wally dating?" They actually turned to Wally, who was standing beside me, in unison. That was kind of creepy.

Wally just smiled. I pretended to be silently working on my wrist computer. Well, I was until a doofus named Wally West decided to yank me towards him before crashing his lips to mine. I yelped before he silenced me.

We broke apart and I discovered that sometime during the kiss, he had wrapped his armed around my waist, while I had curved my back and leaned onto him.

The crowd was silent for a couple seconds before the reincarnated started clapping like maniacs. The others followed suit. Some even wolf whistled. That went better than expected.

Now that we had came out, one good thing would be that Wally and I can now make out in the middle of the corridor.

Mount Justice, 3.00 pm

Nightwing POV

The whole Team was lounging around the main area of the mountain.

Speaking of said mountain, couple of months or so, we rebuilt it after it was exploded. It's surprising how was you can build a mountain with a bunch of superheroes.

Anyway, everyone was doing various things. Then the robotic female voice of the zeta tube activated, announcing the arrivals of Batman, Wonder Woman and Black Canary.

Wonder Woman walked to us and said. " The League decided that you all deserve a break. I arranged a small trip to a very interesting place. You all know that I'm a daughter of Zeus, right?" She received a few nods.

" Well. In a week, every one of you here, along with a few League members would be visiting and staying for approximately two weeks to a month at a demigod camp called , Camp Half-blood."

Only one thing went through the mind link for all the reincarnated. Well.... shit.

I am going to actually murder myself if I keep publishing chapter at a speed slower than my grandma's walking. I hope I can start posting faster after I settle a family matter.
