The gang has been on many adventures, close calls, easy takes downs, but the most difficult, was letting a member go.
Tails the Fox, formerly known as Miles Prower, survived a sickness and near death, with the cost of Sonic's own life. Even so, they didn't let that get them down!
It's been a month since the whole thing, and they still are fighting till the end, but that was not the end of their adventure.
It starts with our gang going to the Master Emerald Shrine to talk to chaos.
Tails: Alright.... so, who's going to ask him?
Amy: Why don't you do it?
Knuckles: I mean it was your idea
Tails: Awe come on guys! Help me out a little!
Maria: Like Knuckles said, it was your idea
Tails: Ugh! Fine, but Knux, I'm going to need help, I don't have chaos powers like you and Shadow
Knuckles: Alright then
Knuckles then mumbled his native language, and the form of Chaos came into view
Chaos: What can I help you with?
Tails: Hey Chaos, um..... well
Shadow: -groan- We were wondering if there was another way to get Sonic back
Tails: But you said-
Silver: -hits Tails on the back of his head-
Tails: Ow
Chaos: I was afraid you would ask that, as much as I would love to bring him back, if I do, it would cost one of your lives
Tails: But why?! Cant you just bring him back?
Chaos: It would bring an unbalance to the universe, Maria was an exception because she was human, and now she's mobian, so the balance can remain!
Everyone put their heads down, they didn't want to loose another member to get another one back, it would lead them to killing an innocent at one point!
Amy: Thanks Chaos for letting us know
Chaos: It's my pleasure
And with that, Chaos disappeared back into the Master Emerald, the others walked out while Knuckles stayed, since it's his job to guard it of course.
The team left the shrine in a bit of disappointment, they knew Chaos was right, brining back the dead is an impossible thing, exchanging a life for a life is the only way. The team didn't want to kill an innocent!
Tangle: I guess we're just going to move on, right guys?
Everyone nodded
Zero: There's nothing else we could do besides, keep up the legacy
Maria: But, who's going to lead the team?
Amy: How 'bout Tails?
Tails: M-Me? Oh no no no no, I just joined you guys! Why can't you Amy?
Amy: Because, out of all of us, Sonic cared about you the most, you two were like brothers! Even if you have known us for about a month, you are perfect for the job! You're smart, you can make fun of Eggman, you're almost as fast as him, and you can build your own machines! Plus didn't you once tell us in your previous state that you wanted to travel the world?
Tails: I-I guess your right, but only if the team agree's
Cream: Of course!
Shadow: I'll admit, I can get reckless at times
Rouge: Sure hun! Just don't do something stupid
Silver: If the future allows it
Blaze: It would be great honor to have you as the leader
Whisper: I think you would make an amazing leader
Tangle: YES OF COURSE!!!
Zero: As long as you think before act
Gadget: I can't think of a better mobian!
Maria: Yep! What Gadget said!
Tails: A-Alright then, let head back before Eggman finds out we are not near the village
And with that, they left, but what they didn't know, Chaos didn't tell them everything, saving it, for later
