in which mike accidentally kisses el
they were cuddling in his bed, just enjoying each other's warmth. el was already sleeping soundly, snoring lightly as her eyes were softly shut. her chestnut hair was tickling mike's nose as his face was stuffed in the crook of her neck. she laid on her side while mike's arms were secured tightly around her waist. mike was still wide awake, thinking of something el had mentioned to him earlier.
the young couple were molded together on the couch, laying together as they watched el's favorite soap opera. well, el was watching the show, mike was actually admiring the beauty in front of him. eventually, she turned to him and asked, "mike, when will we do that again?", while pointing at the screen.
mike looked up at the television to see a couple kissing. nothing intense, nothing passionate, just a chaste, soft kiss on the lips. he immediately turned red and looked back at his petite girlfriend.
"um- well um- i didn't know you wanted to do that again-"
"of course i do baby! and i would only want to do that with you." she said as she smiled softly at him.
"ok, well we'll see because i really want to kiss you again too." he said grinning back at her.
mike had been nervous the rest of the day, wondering when he should make his move. after hours of thinking, he decided that he certainly wasn't confident enough to kiss her on the lips today. so, he decided to just settle on kissing her on the cheek.
he turned to kiss sleeping girlfriend, admiring everything about her. the warmth her body radiates, the way her hair is so soft and perfect even when she doesn't even style it, the scent of her strawberry scented lotion, everything about her is absolutely perfect. she's perfect.
mike eventually gathered up enough courage to sit up a bit more so that she was resting on his chest. he slowly leaned down, puckering her lips to peck her on the cheek.
el then suddenly turned her head and her lips just so happen to replace the place of her cheek. she was too quick for mike to notice that he was about to make a not so terrible mistake. as his lips were placed onto hers, he noticed his lips weren't placed on her silky skin but instead her pillow like lips. his eyes snapped open as he moved back from the accidental kiss.
oh no, uh oh, oh my gosh i just kissed my girlfriend, and she's not even awake! oh my gosh i'm a terrible person, should i wake her up and apologize or should i wait until she wakes up? god, i'm the worst boyfriend ev-
his thoughts were interrupted when he realized el was slowly opening her eyes and smiled cutely at him. before he knew it, she grabbed the collar of his shirt and pulled him down back to connect their lips. mike was too shocked at first to even react before el disconnected their lips and turned around to straddle his lap. at this point, mike's face was heated up and as red as a tomato. as el pulled him into a deeper, more passionate kiss, mike's brain finally registered what is happening. he finally started kissing back with the same amount of passion and after a minute or so of passionate lip locking, they finally pulled apart, both breathing heavily.
"wow, you're really good at that", he said while chuckling breathlessly.
"thank you, you're not that bad yourself", she said with a teasing smirk.
the young, very in love couple ended the night cuddled up, both falling asleep with blissful smiles on their faces.
