Chapter 18

It’s been days since Emma’s father had an accident and now they are just waiting for him to awake. Emma was now on the rooftop of the hospital feeling the air up there, in the past few days her mind was split in half, overthinking her father and Casper na hindi pa nagpakita nang ilang araw.

She was confused and worried of both her love ones but for now it’s her father. Emma was worried from the day her father had an accident on their house, she was crying that time and the only thing that cheers her up was just her mother. Tears began to fall on her face while feeling that calm wind that addends her deep thought but she wiped her tear immediately when her brother called her on her back.

“Ate, tawag ka ni nanay.” Timothy said before waiting her at agad silang bumaba sa kwarto nang kaniyang tatay.

When she entered the room ay nakita niya si Diana with exhaustion that was visible on her face.

“Auntie, good morning, how are you?” She asked in worried tone because she can see that she didn’t sleep and Emma knows the reason why.

“He didn’t come home for days mi hija, ilang araw na akong naghihintay sa kaniya but it’s a long time now.” Diana said starting to tear up.

Emma was quite disappointed for Casper, he let her Aunt die of worry, so she decided that she will find him and talk to him.

“I’ll go find him Auntie, I will also try to talk to him.” Emma said before getting her hat on the table beside her father and she didn’t bother to arrange herself because she wants to finish this.

“Mag-ingat ka anak.” Her mother said so she kissed her on the cheek first and also to Diana before she walk out of the room.

The first thing that she wants to go find him is on his Cabin dahil alam niyang wala siyang ibang puntahan at alam niya rin na nahihiya si Casper na pumunta sa mga kaibigan nila.

While she was walking ay nakabangga niya si Giovanni na pa simpleng lumalakad  dito sa town square.

“Emma! Where are you going? Kamusta kana pala? I’ve never seen you for days.” Giovanni greeted her with a bright smile on his face.

“I’m sorry Giovanni but I have to go now.”

“But saan ka pupunta? Can I at least know where you going?” Giovanni asked her again.

Emma was confused of him right now, lagi lang siyang nagtatanong sa kaniya kung saan siya pupunta at kung importante daw ito para sa kaniya and it is getting on her nerves hindi na siya komportable sa kaniya minsan because it is suffocating her but she didn’t want to hurt him because he is her friend na nag comfort sa kaniya noong nagka problema siya.

“Basta just let me go first.” Emma said to him while trying to get off her hand on him but Giovanni didn’t let it go.

“If anything happens I’ll be right here to comfort you okay? I’m your friend Emma so don’t hesitate to ask me.” Giovanni said and faked his smile before letting her go.

His plan is working and all of the things that happened to them is all planned by him and his father. He was the one who ruined their business at nagpahirap kay Casper na makapag arrange nang papers pero sabi nang ama niya ay hayaan nalang munang makakamit nang munting kaligayahan si Casper. He was also the reason why Emma’s father was now lying on the hospital bed because that night he came to her house at agad na nakita si Dominic na kumukuha nang baso sa cabinet while he was standing on a ladder so he pushed him and that’s why he fell so bad and he didn’t even be guilty when he saw a blood on his head.
Giovanni smirked when he remembered his plan.
