soon, meeting up with jihoon every night at the pond was routine. it didn’t feel like a chore to soonyoung, and he hoped it certainly did not for jihoon. every encounter with jihoon was interesting as they shared their sorrows, happiness, concerns, and just their way of life.
today was a day like any other. soonyoung would go to work at the dance studio, teach a couple of kids, before heading home. as he dragged his body towards his room, getting ready to meet jihoon which seems like the only thing that’s keeping him sane these days, he was met with his boyfriend, sitting on his bed with his hands crossed.
“um, hi? i thought you were sleeping? it’s quite late you-”
“care to explain why you’ve not been home these past couple of days?” his boyfriend cutted his words.
“i don’t know what you’re talking about.” soonyoung mumbled.
“don’t play dumb kwon soonyoung. is it because you’ve been meeting that jerk at the park?” his voice was stern, sending shivers down soonyoung’s spine as his harsh words made soonyoung cast his vision to the floor.
“don’t talk about jihoon that way.” his voice was shaky and it didn’t sound very convincing.
“i am your boyfriend, kwon soonyoung. your boyfriend! i have the right to know why you’ve been out late these days, especially with a jerk like that guy! do you love me, or do you love him?!”
“i told you already, don’t talk about jihoon that way-”
soonyoung felt a stinging sensation on his left cheek as he continued to look to the floor, tears starting to fill his eyes.
