"..why are you lying?"
"excuse me?"
"i know you're lying. i'm not an idiot, you know."
it was an expected thing for jihoon to meet random people during his midnight expeditions around his neighborhood. what he didn't expect, however, was to find a stranger crying with his feet dipped into the park's pond.
a cute one at that.
"why would you think i'm lying?"
jihoon scoffed at the statement.
"okay, fine. you may be lying or you may not, not my problem, but can you please get your feet out of the pond? if you end up with bloody toes because of the stupid ducks, it won't be my fault."
the stranger let out a hollow chuckle and that's when jihoon knew that this man right here was definitely not fine. jihoon opened his mouth to continue talking but immediately closed it, concluding that this stranger wanted some space.
"are you new around here? i haven't met you before." jihoon conversed. he didn't want the stranger to feel uncomfortable so he wanted to casually socialize.
"um, yeah. just moved here." the stranger continued to look downwards, eyes glancing to the side.
"oh, well then, i'm lee jihoon. nice to meet you." jihoon stuck his right hand out, waiting patiently for the stranger to shake it. the stranger looked up to jihoon with blood-shot eyes, slowly bringing his hands up to meet jihoon's and gave a hesitant but warm smile.
"kwon soonyoung." soonyoung introduced.
