jihoon

it felt weird for jihoon to be walking home that night. there was no particular reason, it was just a sense of apprehension, he concluded. after the long night with him holding soonyoung close like he was soonyoung’s lifeline, he did feel rather hesitant to leave him, but they must part ways at some point.

walking down the familiar street that greets him warmly, the yellow light illuminating his way, jihoon passed by the same convenient store that he always makes a stop at. tonight was different though. he didn’t feel like getting something small to eat, nor did he feel like getting his regular canned espresso that he probably shouldn’t be drinking as an insomniac. tonight, he decided to walk on. he didn’t feel like stopping. he just wanted to go home and lay down on his bed, let his eyes rest and darkness engulf him. today was a long day, he thought. with his strong desire to get home, he took a sharp left turn into the nearby alleyway, a shortcut he always used.

the alleyway was made out of concrete, moss creeping out of little cracks and garbage littering every corner. it was rather unpleasant but at this point, jihoon didn’t mind. as he continued on, he found a group of guys, 3 to be exact, leaning against the mossy walls, a cigarette and lighter in hand. passing them, jihoon rolled his eyes in disgust as he was never one for the smell of smoke. before he could proceed, a man, rather tall and slim, took him by the hand and jerked him back.

“not even a hello? that’s quite rude, you know?” the man’s voice had a distinct breathiness to it, but of course it was ruined by the raspiness that followed afterwards due to his habits. jihoon rolled his eyes once more before continuing to leave them be.

“that’s not nice, babe. i think you should know better. i mean, look at you, absolutely gorgeous.” jihoon cringed as they brought him back once more.

“look, gentlemen, i would hate to ruin your fun but i’m busy. now let me go.”
after he spoke those words, the man that held his hands swiftly turned him around and pinned him up against the wall, his eyes burning holes into jihoon’s skin. jihoon started to squirm as he tried to break free, fear washing over him as his eyes widened.

“boys, let’s teach him a lesson.”
