Lupin walked past his own bedroom and down the corridor a few more meters before he came to another room. "now, up hear is where the teachers and staff sleep... So, hear is your room. If you need anything you know where to find me, that room their" Mcgonagall said pointing to the door across from where they stood.

Lupin opened the door and let the girl inside. It was a small room, a set of drawers to one side and a fire place to the other side. "thank you sir" Ash said as she put her bag on the bed.

"do you have any books you will need for this year? Or any of the equipment?" Lupin asked.

Ash sighed "no... But i will find a way to get them" "how?" "i will find a job that i can do..." Lupin looked at the girl, he could see that she was tough but needed help

"your hurt" he said Ash went stiff. "its just a scratch" she said softly. "will you let me check it?" Ash shook her head. Lupin nodded and turned around. He left the room and went to his own bedroom.

His own injuries still plaqued him with exhaustion but he pushed on. Lupin lay down on his bed and sighed as he fell asleep.

Ash grabbed her writing books, she saw Hermione and walked over with a smile. "hey! We have a lot of classes together... Lets get through this day and then we can studdy" Ash nodded as they went to their first class.

Posions with Professor Snape. Ash looked at Hermione's text book so that she did not fall behind. The pain from her side made her vision blur for a moment before she heard a loud shout in front of her and she snapped back to reality.

Snape was angry, "where are your text books?!" "i-i dont have any" Snape rolled his eyes. "this is, disappointing" he said.

"disgraceful" he walked away and Ash heard snickering behind her. She looked over her shoulder, Draco was laughing at her.

Ash sighed and kept her head down as she continued to work.

Each of her classes where like this, angry teachers confused as to why she had no books.

Finaly the day was done, "ready Ash?" Hermione said.

The two girls went to the gryffindor comin room and studdied all night.

"Albus she has no books! No nothing! She dose not even know the things a first year would!" Mcgonagall said. Lupin and the other teachers stood in the room.

"i understand, but... I cant ask her to leave" "why?" Snape said.

"because, she has no where to go... No family, no nothing she has been living on the street for the past two years" "why is she hear? Is she even magical?!" Snape said.

"i asked her to stay, Snape... She asked me to take back to offer but i refused to do so" Snape stopped. "you... What?" Mcgonagall shook her head.

"i understand the doubht but give her a chance" the teachers all nodded and left.

The next two days where tough for Ash, she felt unwell but she did not show it.

Lupin walked to Mcgonagalls class, he stayed in the back untill she was finished her lesson. He saw Ash leave and then walked to the teacher.

"Lupin... What can i do for you?" Lupin told her his worries and they both walked to Snapes class.

"Ash, can i speak to you after class pleas?" Ash did not respond to Snape.

"Ash!" "w-what?" "stay after class" he growled at her.

After class eveyone left, Mcgonagall and Lupin came from the back of the class ans walked towards Ash.
