There comes a night among others
When darkness descends like a shroud
And stars cannot pierce the heavy veil
Of inky ether and nimbus clouds. The walls weep tar
Pool onto the floor
The dark, frosty air
Seeps into bones. The empty room comes to life
Whispers, I can no longer tell
Faces, that haunt my dreams
Escape the confines of my sense. The warmth I feel in my hand
Is it blood or is it sand
To my dead ears, they sound the same
Through these slick fingers, slips my name. The crafty shadows steal my sight
Straight from my dull, blind eyes
In a breath, my voice is gone
Their phantom grip is all I know.Listen to their eerie music play
I dance along, as one of them
Dance away sorrow, mirth and pain
Dance away rage, dance away shame.Dance through this night
And the nights yet to come
Dance among ruins
Of my own grave.I fly with the wind, soar high
Dine with shadows, every night
Skip amidst broken dreams, uncut
As I find myself lost in time.
