Piper POV
"Okay, girly. Look at yourself now." I add one more puff of powder on her face and turn Jazmine to the full wall mirror. I wait to hear her excited squeals or opinion but hear nothing.
I look at her reflection and see Jazmine's eyes clenched shut. "Now girly. You can't see how beautiful you are if you have your eyes closed." I sigh and reach over and place my hand on her shoulder.
"We'll do this together okay. I'll shut my eyes and on the count of three, we both open our eyes."
Jazmine shakes her head no. "I can't. I'm scared Piper. I know I look ugly."
I sigh in desperation. "Girly. You won't know how you truly look if you never check in your reflection."
Jazmine sighs in preparation and agrees. "Okay." She whispers in her soft voice. "On the count of three."
I agree. "Together."
"One. Two. Three"
I softly squeeze her hand as if to cue her to open her eyes. I open mine and see Jazmine crying. "I'm beautiful. Piper! I'm beautiful. Oh my gosh. I love you!!" I smile and go to hug her.
"I told ya, girly. Your beautiful inside and out." I smiles. "It's 7:45 now. I'll take you to your cabin for now, until you get claimed."
Jazmine rubs her eyes. "Thank you. Piper oh thank you." I grab her bags and lead Jazmine outside.
