It didn't take long for Grian to get back to his mansion however if you asked him why happened on the flight he wouldn't be able to tell you, his mind was far too plagued with the events that had just occurred.
'how come tango didn't see the staff?'
'Why did he say the flames were black and purple? I saw white and purple.'
'How would I hide the horns?'
'Am I not a watcher?'
'What will happen to my magic?'
'Will I get any other changes?'
'What's happening to me?'
'What's GOING to happen to me?'
Question after question flowed through Grian's mind, not a single one of the was answered. That was until he got back to his base.
He landed on the front stairs and opens the obnoxiously large door only to be greeted my two of his closest friends. He tried to turn away before they saw him but the task came with no luck as they turned shortly after hearing the door. "Grian! There you are!" Mumbo shouted running up to his friend with his arms wide open for a hug. Grian flinched away and tried to run however Xisuma grabbed his wrist.
"Grian are you okay?"
They hadn't seen his horns.
He tried to speak but the words caught in his throat as his breath quickened and tears gathered in the corners of his eyes.
"Grian?" They both asked. "Grian what's wrong?" It was just Mumbo that time but he couldn't distinguish their voices, his heartbeat was far too loud. Deafening and thunderous. His magic started so spark around his body.
He couldn't breath.
He tried to rip his arm from Xisuma grasp but he couldn't. Only then did his friends take notice of the horns protruding from his skull.

"How do you have horns?"

His breath hitched and tears fell as his legs finally gave out.

"Grian are you okay?"
"Talk to us buddy. We can't help you unless you talk to us."
"Come on mate. Are you hurt?"
"Grian?"
"Come on Grian!"
"Grian!"

'ꖎᒷℸ ̣ ᒲᒷ ⍑ᒷꖎ!¡ ᒲ|| ᓵ⍑╎ꖎ↸' a new voice echoed in his mind in a language so familiar yet distant.
'How could you help?'
'ꖎᒷℸ ̣ ᒲᒷ ℸ ̣ ᔑꖌᒷ ᓵ𝙹リℸ ̣ ∷𝙹ꖎ'
'Control?'
'||𝙹⚍'∷ᒷ ᓭᔑ⎓ᒷ i !¡∷𝙹ᒲ╎ᓭᒷ'
'Just help me.'
And with that Grian's mind went black. No thought, no perception of time. Nothing. At least that is what it should have been. Outside Grian's mind however, a new entity had reared its head, not showing its true self yet. Only noticeable through Grian's now blood red eyes.
"Remove your hands from me this instant Xisuma Void." A cold voice ran past Grian's lips, one that sounded so similar yet so different from his own, glaring red eyes now locked onto Xisuma's.
Xisuma's mask flashed with a warning.
Danger. Class five entity located. Power level seventeen.
Xisuma went stiff his mind serving to ignore the warning flashing across his helmet.
'How does he know name?'
"X? X are you okay?" Mumbo tried to call out as now both of his friends seem to be on the edge of or just calming down from a panic attack.
Xisuma couldn't breath.
Grian's eyes returned to normal.

As Grian's mind returned to consciousness he didn't expect the first thing he saw to be one of his friends having a panic attack.
His magic started to flare around him again.
'Oh god what just happened?'
He tried to get a hold of his magic but found that it kept slipping through his grasp like sand.
'I need to go. I need to get out of here. I can't hurt them.'
And with that Grian slammed his wings on the ground and took off back into the sky.
He didn't go far, only to the top of his mansion but it was far enough were Xisuma and Mumbo would be safe from him.
'Okay. I need to contact the others and tell them to get here.'
He pulled at his magic and summoned an admin table in front of himself, only Xisuma was meant to be able to use this but fortunately for him watchers also had access. He used it to summon his communicator to himself and made the table disappear once again.
He went straight to the community chat.
Grian:   Emergency at my mansion!
Grian:   All available hermits get here now!
Grian:   Xisuma is having a panic attack and my magic has gotten too unstable for me to be around anyone at the moment.

He didn't even notice that he had told the hermits about him having magic, even after the message had sent.

Etho: On my way.
Doc: Headed there now.
Stress: I'm on my way too.

This was all he could do right now.

So now here he sat, alone, as still as a statue, wondering what exactly had happened and if the voice he had heard had anything to do with why this was all happening so suddenly.
"Why is this happening to me?" He asked aloud to the wind, praying that someone or something would hear his plea and answer.
But nothing did.
So he sat alone on the top of his base, wings curled around him, and mind plagued with fears and questions.
