Party Time (Kinda)

Bekah, I will admit, had clothes better suited for my goal at this party. I asked her which on she liked best and she pointed me towards a tiny black dress with a pinkish-white skirt. Then she loaned me a pair of black heels that tied in the front. I painted my nails pink and wore pink jewelry to compliment the skirt. I looked sweet and sultry. A hard thing to pull off. My skirt was so short it was barely past my upper thigh. When Rebekah had before worn a dress like this I did not know.

When I stepped down the stairs to leave, my twin was there waiting impatiently. We had been doing this tradition since the time of balls. It was the only way to start a party. My brother would escort me, sometimes it would be Kol. Sometimes Elijah. Often Nik.
Nik raised an eyebrow. "Do you wish to always look like a slut."
"Now Nik, let's not rehash the drama of last week. We both know your baby mama will and has looked sluttier than I ever do." I laced my arm through his.
"Thin ice Viktoria. It is thin ice you prefer to perch on."
A sharp laugh exited my throat, "When do I not lay on the thinner ice? Do you not do the same, Nik? Now, who will be driving me to the part?"
Nik was for some reason in a foul mood. Perhaps it was because I said Hayley dressed slutty. I actually like her clothes. They were cute. Her wedding dress to Jackson looked beautiful on her.
"Don't you have a car? You so often speak of it." I snorted, "Sure, I did have a car before Kol decided he'd be wrapping my car around a pole as a present to me not being at my best."
His brow furrowed, "Damnit Kol! Why am I never up to date who is destroying which of our expensive belongings."
Elijah turned a cool eye towards us, "I am, also, often unaware of our younger brother's deeds until someone wishes for me to clean it up."

I wrapped an arm around Nik in a gentle side hug. "No need to yell at Kolie, he already had quite the thrashing from me." My fingers quickly slipped into his jacket pocket withdrawing his Mercedes keys. I pulled my hand back stepping away from him and slipping the keys into my own jacket pocket. A wicked smile slipped on my face, but I raise my eyebrows in feigned innocence. "Well perhaps I shall just take Kol's car, as a form of divine retribution. Or 'Lijah's I'm sure he's in need of some type of retribution." I turned with a cool wink and smile to Elijah. One he did not return. He refused to joke around with me for so long now I had begun to forget when he had once.
Nik laughed anyways, "Have fun Toria, as you know I will be joining you later."

"And you aren't by chance taking Caroline?"
He shook his head, his eyes darkening. I knew I no longer perched on the thin ice. I had to watch my words carefully. These were some of the most dangerous waters I treaded in now. "No, she wishes to surprise me. I don't know with what it why."
I smiled as if I somehow knew the answer. "Of course. Of course that makes sense. Goodbye Nik."
Then, I sped away. Up the stairs to Kol. As I said one of my brothers always would escort me. I pushed open his door and Kol immediately began to speak, "What? Have you not heard of-?" I put my finger to my lips, my eyes wide. In my other hand I held up Nik's keys. The jingled slightly.
I beckoned for him and we left to the garage.

It was now safe to talk. We were far enough away from the main part of our mansion, Nik would barely if at all be able to pick up what we were saying. I hopped in to the driver's seat. No way Kol would be allowed to drive after what he did to my car while I slept.

He got into the passenger's seat beside me, in the silver convertible. It was one of many of our cars. There was no reason for Nik to miss it. "How'd you get his keys to his newest car, Viktoria?"
I smirked, "Now Kol, I was under the impression we could still be partners in crime secrets and all? Now I promised Katherine, since she's in town I'd pick her up, I also promised Caroline I'd get her. That means, don't get so comfortable in that seat brother."
His eyebrows lifted, "And where will I sit when you give my seat to our brothers' 'friends'?" He emphasized the word friends in almost disdain. "Are you sad Davina is still in New Orleans? You can go and visit her. She is just tying things up. She doesn't want to completely upset the ancestors." There was a delicate pause. I knew they weren't on good terms Davina saying they were taking a brief break just so she could get things sorted.
"No need to answer that question. I know the answer. Anyways, You'll be sitting in the back! There are small seats there Kol, or you can lounge above the trunk. The weather is nice enough to keep the top down."
He smiled. He did like the top being down.
