Chapter 4 | Little Nerd Boy

After you were out of school , you walked with the boys. Suprisingly , Mark didn't tell them , which was strange.. But you decided to ignore it , since you didn't want the other knowing you had to wear those horrid clothes.

You guys were waiting for the bus , when Mark and Barry were talking about something , and Barry was starring at you while they were talking. You got nervous , so you started talking to David about how your day was in your classes , and how little of homework they assigned.

Soon the bus came , and you guys sat in the seats. You sat next to David again , and you were really nervous that Barry and Mark were talking about you. What if they were judging you in your cheer outfit? You sighed , and leaned against the window until it was time to get off the bus.

While you were walking with the boys to Elder Rock , you couldn't help but think about the horrifying thought of the auburn haired boy seeing you like that every single day... You got lost in your thoughts , and soon-

" Y/n? Y/n , are you okay? " 

" Huh?- " you saw all three boys starring at you. " Oh.. I'm fine.. just.. had a rough day that's all... " You gulped , and realized you were almost to the Rock. So you ran over to it , and climbed inside , and waited till the boys came inside.

When everyone was inside , Barry and Mark started arguing what anime character was better in some weird anime they watched. You and David walked out of the rock , because you guys didn't want to get dragged in their conversation.

" So.. what about your day was.. rough Y/n? " David asked you.

" Do I have to tell you Davie... " You looked down and sighed.

" Yes Y/n!! I'm worried about you!! " David whined.

" Well... When I was in my cheer uniform.. it was unfortunately the same time Mark was in his P.E. class.. and he saw me in my uniform...

" That's it?? Y/n!! He probably didn't even care!! He doesn't care about anything honestly. " David said comforting you.

" I don't know that.. but the thing is.. I cared... And even if he didn't care he still saw me in it.. I don't know why I care so much.. " you said , letting out a big sigh.

You guys soon walked back in the rock , and Barry and Mark starred at you both.

" What took you guys so long? " Mark glared at David.

" We were talking David!! And it's none of your business!!! " You said , frustrated.

" Y/n.. are you okay..?- Barry said but you interrupted him and shouted. " IM FINE , WHY CAN'T EVERYONE JUST LEAVE ME ALONE! " The room went silently , all the boys starred at you , then you started crying , and ran out of elder rock.

Mark's POV :

" What the hell Mark?! You just made Y/n cry!!! " Barry shouted at you.

" I didn't mean to!!! She's just sensitive!!! " You shouted back at Barry.

" Go find her Mark. This is your fault anyway. " Barry said glaring at you.

You walked through the creek. No sign of Y/n anywhere. You checked by the rock , no Y/n. Then you went by the lake , and you saw her sitting by herself , crying , mumbling , and wiping her tears.

" Y/n.. " you called out to her just quiet enough so she could hear you , then she looked back at you

" What do you want now Mark.. " her voice trembled , as tears ran down her face. You sat close to her.

" I just wanted to say I'm sorry.. " You said to her , and sighed. She looked at you in sympathy.

" Don't be sorry.. I over reacted... Like I always do.. and if you don't want me hanging out with you guys then.. that's okay.. "

You tilted her chin with your finger to your angle , and wiped her tears with your thumb.

As Mark wiped your tears , you noticed how charming he was , you hated to admit it , but he was really handsome. You could tell he wasn't good at comforting , but you were okay with it.

You blushed as he got close to you , and touched your face.

" We should- probably get back to Elder Rock with the others M-mark... " You said blushing a ton.

Mark had a slight smirk , " alright. But I demand a rematch of dnd with you. "

You smiled , " You're so on. " He helped you up , and you guys walked back to Elder Rock.

" Hey , you're back! " David smiled , and hugged you.

Mark motioned for you to come over to the table , so you sat down.

" You're going to lose this time!!! " Mark smirked. For I have been training for years. A simple paladin cannot stop me. "

" We'll see about that. " You smiled and you guys played the most intense game of dnd yet , it was so intense , Barry started a live stream , and filmed it. To your surprise , you won again.

" AND THE BOSS IS DEFEATED BY THE PALADIN!!! " Barry said , and David cheered.

" Psst. I let you win blockhead.. " Mark flashed a smile a you , which made you smile.
