15) Coming Closer

Anand's Point Of View

It was raining heavily when we were getting back home. The storm and thunder looked so dangerous. The weather wasn't favouring a bit. Vibha looked so tired in face. She kept massaging her head. I passed her a bottle of water and she gulped it down. I tried my best to drive faster so that we can reach back home. Then came the horrible traffic making things worse.

"Damn it"I cursed under my breath and sighed. It looked like it won't clear so soon. Vibha held my hand and clutched it. I looked at her and she rested her head in my shoulder

"I'm not feeling well. Please take me home soon"she said faintly. I kissed her hairs.

"I will. Don't worry"I said holding her hand. We spent almost half an hour in the traffic. I massaged my head and looked at Vibha who was now covering her mouth with her palm.

"Anand I feel like throwing up. My stomach is churning"she said making me scare. I looked around helplessly

"Baby , don't worry. I hope the traffic will clear soon"I said and asked her to drink more water. She did it and relaxed a bit. I sighed and took my phone to call Anna. He took the call after few rings.

"Anna , Vibha isn't feeling well. She's looking very weak from outside. We are stuck in traffic and this damn rain is showing no signs of stopping as well. I'm getting scared. Should I take her to the hospital?"I asked worriedly in a single breath.

"Relax da. Probably the travel had made her tired enough. There's nothing to worry. Do something , stay in some hotel today. Don't make her travel and give her enough food and water. She'll be fine after a nap"he said.

"Okay fine. But are you sure that she will be fine?"I asked

"Yes she will be. Don't worry"he said and I sighed.

"Fine. I'll call you once we reach there"I said.

"Take care of her. Bye and--come back soon. I have to tell you something very important"he cut the call and I dropped the phone in my pocket. I looked at Vibha who was shuffling in her seat. She looked very uncomfortable. I caressed her head.

Few minutes later , the traffic started clearing. I reversed the car and searched for some hotel. After a while something struck in my mind. I took my phone again and messaged Sharan. I wanted to know whether the guest house , where five of us stayed is free now so that Vibha and I can stay there for the night. Sharan messaged me back saying that it's left free. They've returned back to their homes for this week.

In twenty minutes we reached there and thankfully the rain had stopped. I searched for the key and found them out. I unlocked the house and then woke up Vibha. She was too tired , so I carried her upstairs and made her sleep in the bed. I had my clothes leftover here. I took a quick shower and changed my clothes.

I saw her sleeping peacefully and it soothed my heart. I was genuinely happy that she had finally forgiven me for my mistakes. I was stupid enough to make her go through all this. I felt miserable. I would never play with her feelings ever again.

I called Anna and informed him that we are completely fine and safe.

I sat besides her , on the bed and gently kissed on the top of her head. My eyes fell on her tummy and my lips curved into a small smile. I placed a small kiss for my baby too without disturbing her mumma and then unknowingly dozed off in the same sitting position.

I woke up after two hours of sleep. My tiredness had vanished and I felt much better. I opened my eyes and looked around the room.
