Chapter 3

True form of the tainted

Luna looked at the forest and her eyes widened, she just started to sense the presence that Elli was sensing "y-you think it's him..." Luna said as she slowly let go of Elli, still looking at the forest. Elli nodded in response and got up "it is definitely him. He's after something within this cabin" Elli said and turned her back to the forest and looked at Luna. "As their friends we have to protect them from him. No matter what Luna" Elli said as she gently placed a hand on Luna's shoulder. "Right, for our friends and family" Luna said and smiled at Elli, trying to get her best friend to smile. Elli did smile, but it was small.

The memory then swiftly changed to everyone in the living room of the cabin, Elli was on edge the entire time; and so was Luna. But the others never picked up on it. "Me and Luna are going to go on a walk in the forest while you guys make dinner ok" Elli said/ asked as she stood up from her seat and stretched towards the sealing. "Sure, just don't be gone for too long. After dinner we are going to get back to work" Aaron said as he looked at Elli and Luna, the two nodded and as they walked into the forest the group of friends within the cabin looked at each other.

"We are following them aren't we" Aphmau said as she looked at Aaron "yup" he said as he got up and walked over to the coat rack. After everyone was ready they walked into the forest, following Elli's and Luna's tracks. Elli and Luna walked through the thick forest and the heavy snow; while they were walking Elli kept sniffing the air, following the scent of the person the two are sensing. They got to a clearing and Luna started to growl at a cluster of trees "come on out. We know you're there" Elli said as she looked at the same cluster of trees Luna is growling at, after she spoke someone walked out from the trees. The person stayed within the shadows but Elli and Luna could tell that this person was smirking.

"It's good to see you... sister" the person said as they walked out from the shadows. They were a male werewolf, his ears and tail were a dark blue that matched the streak of dark blue hair that dangled in front of his face. His clothes are black and there is a cloak wrapped around his shoulders and the hood of the cloak is resting on his head, slightly covering his eyes. "I am not your sister... nor will I ever be your sister" Elli said as she glared at the man that claims to be her brother. "Oh but you are... our fathers and mothers blood rushes through your veins" the person said as he slowly lifted his head, his silver eyes reflecting the moonlight.

The people outside the memory jaws dropped "y-you're Ein's sister?!" Garroth yelled as he looked at the present time Elli. Elli looked down "I am not his sister... I never consider him as a brother. Not even blood" Elli said, venom dripping from her voice. When Garroth, Kim, and Lucinda shiver at the way Elli's voice; Luna looked down "him and his father abused her for being alive. The only reason she has a bit of their blood is in her is because sh-" there was a loud noise and when the others looked over at where the sound came from and it was Elli. She had punched the wall and broke the beam that was in the wall.

"I wasn't asked to be made! It's not my fault that I was made in that explosion" Elli said as she stood there, her eyes shadowed by her bangs. "W-what do you mean by made in an explosion" Lucinda said as she looked at Elli, getting ready to cast a freeze spell on her if Elli would lose control. "26 years ago there was an explosion in a lab deep within a forest, the explosion was caused by a spark from chemicals of a human, werewolf... and another chemical. It destroyed the lab and the people in it. But Ein's family had gotten out when they felt an imbalance within the area, when they went back in to see if there was anything left Ein's mother found Elli" Luna said as she looked at her best friend.

"Wait I remember that report, the news said that it was caused by a chemical fire" Kim said as she looked at Elli, Elli just stood there, not saying anything or stopping Luna from telling them about how she came to be. "But if you were made in a chemical explosion then that means that you're..." Lucinda started as her eyes became wide. "A tainted... yes. I am a tainted werewolf" Elli said and took a deep breath "but I've looked at the components of human blood and werewolf blood. They shouldn't cause an explosion with anything... so what was the other chemical" Kim said as she looked at Luna, thinking that Elli wouldn't tell her.
