Prem woke up half conscious in the ambulance. He saw Boun freaking out next to him, and once he noticed that his eyes were slightly opened, he tried to get him to talk. "HEY! Can you hear me? Talk to me!" He tried yelling out, but before Prem could get in a response, he was out again.

They rushed him into the hospital as Boun ran with the rolling bed as well as doctors. They went straight to the operating room where he got locked out.

He sat on the chair just trying to calm himself down. He just wanted him to be ok.

The doctors got this. They are trained professionals and it's their job to save people like Prem, so he'll make it. But sometimes their state is too bad to be saved. WHAT IF HE DIES?! Ugh! I can't even think properly.

After 3 hours that felt like days to him, the doctors finally came out with some good and bad news.

"Doctor, how did it go? Is he going to be ok?"

"He's going to be ok, the surgery went pretty well, but..."

"But what? What happened!?"

"Due to impact on his head, in result, he has very severe memory loss to things in life. He could have forgotten things like where he lives, his name, and things he enjoyed."

"Would he forget me?"

"Most likely, the only person he will remember is the person he saw right before he blacked out or the accident. Now excuse me, I have to go."

"Krup."

I was the last person he saw, right?  I was there when I saw his eyes open when he was on the rode. Also in the ambulance in the slight moment he opened his eyes I'm sure he was looking at me.

Boun sat in the lobby for about another hour since he was not allowed to see him yet. While waiting he noticed that he had taken Prem's phone at the scene of the accident to keep it safe. He took it out of his pocket and turned it on. It was very cracked and a little glitchy, but he was still able to use the phone.

He wanted to look through his phone to look for anything that could help, but hesitated thinking it was wrong to invade his privacy after only knowing him for a few days. Even with those thoughts, he went through with it anyway.

After digging through messages with which seemed to be the only person he really talked to, he figured out that his mom had committed suicide after his dad's abuse. His dad was a drunkie that abused him for being gay. Thankfully, he was finally taken away 2 months ago, but he was killed in attempting to kill someone. Therefore, he has no family.

The nurse came out to ask Boun about who in Prem's family could they call because no one listed in the contact information was available or picking up.

"Well, um, his mother passed away and his dad was taken away for personal reasons. Besides that, I don't think he was any family."

The nurse understood and then told him he could go first to visit him since he seemed to be the only option available. She explained that he will be unconscious for a 1-2 hours, maybe even les, but he should wake up soon.

When he walked in, he sat in the chair next to Prem. He sat having elbows rest on his knees with one leg shaking up and down. Every time he looked at Prem, he looked back in nervousness. He didn't really know why he was so nervous since they had said he was going to be ok, maybe it was the fact that he might not remember him.

Prem fluttered his eyes open after about 40 minutes of Boun sitting there stressed. "Hey, Prem? Can you hear me?" He nodded slowly and moved his hand reluctantly to block the light in his eyes. Boun moved his hand back down and shielded the light for him.

Now it was time for the moment of truth.

"Do you remember me?"

"Of course I do. You're Boun, the guy that helped me when I was drunk, right?

He sighed in relief thankful that he could remember him. He quickly remembered that there are a lot of things the Prem possibly doesn't remember. Before he could ask more questions on what he remembers, the questions were already answered.

"Who is that Prem guy you just mentioned? Also, how did I get here? I don't remember a "home" so am I homeless or something?" Boun looked at him with scared eyes like he had just saw a ghost, which only freaked him out more. He sat back on the chair running his hands through his hair.

"What's going on and why are you so stressed?" It felt like it was just a series of unanswered questions for the two.

"Because you forgot everything Prem."

"What do you mean I forgot everything? What are you saying?"

"Prem-"

"WHO IS PREM?"

"PREM IS YOU!"

He sat there in shock that he really didn't even know his own name. It immediately clicked in his head that if he forgot such a simple thing as his name, he must have forgotten a lot of things as well. Including who his parents were who he thought were alive because he simply didn't remember.

"Where are my parents? They must be on their way right." Boun made that was scared look in his face except this time with glossy red eyes feeling bad for what he has to explain to him."

"You're umm, parents....they.. aren't here."

"Of course I know they aren't here. That's why I'm asking where they are."

"No, I mean, they aren't alive. Prem, you're parents are dead."

He just sat there in disbelief. He thought there was no way that his parents were dead. He tried to laugh thinking it was a joke but deep down, he knew that what he was saying was true. Then, he started to cry.

Pulling him in for a hug, as he cried with his head in his chest, he knew that he was the only person Prem had left in this world. He had to protect him no matter what. Even if it lead to feelings he's not supposed to have.
