Love's Timeless (Legolas and Tauriel)

Chapter 2

Narrators POV

It was a beautiful morning. The sun shone in through the silk curtains in Tauriel's bedroom.

*YAWN* She remembered last night. She smiled. She got dressed in her usual forest green dress and headed down for breakfast. But Legolas was no where to be seen. "Have you seen Legolas, my lord?" Asked Tauriel. "My, I was about to ask you the same question. I'm sure he is in his bedroom getting ready. Lady Ariana is coming today. She was always very fond of Legolas."

At the sound of what King Thranduil said, Tauriel choked on her salad. "Oh dear, are you alright?" Asked the King. "Oh yes, I'm fine, thank you."

Legolas POV

I woke up due to a distant rattling. I opened my eyes and saw a bird perched on a tree, rattling the leaves. The sun shone in through my open windows. I remembered last night. I would cherish that moment forever. Then it hit me. Lady Ariana was coming today and I had to talk to my father about calling off the marriage. I wanted to tell him about Tauriel.

I quickly put on my usual hunting clothes and headed downstairs to my fathers chambers. I gave a knock. "Who is it."
"It is I, Legolas." I replied. "Come in."
"Father, I needed to talk to you about something. "Yes son. If it is about how to greet Lady Ariana, then I assure you that you should take her right hand first and kiss it. Also- "Father, it is about something else.' I took a deep breath and spoke. "Father, I cannot marry Ariana."
"And why is that, I may ask?" "Because I am in love someone else."
"That lowly Silvan she - elf? You can never marry her. She is too low for you." "Don't say that about her!"
"I don't care about whom you love, you will marry Lady Ariana."
"But"- "Zip it. I don't want to hear anymore of this conversation. Now go on patrol and come 10 minutes earlier."
