It was around a month since you talked to Jaehyuk. After he had joined SM Entertainment six months ago, your friendship had come to a standstill. When the training became intense, Jaehyuk took time off school and stayed in an apartment closer to the company.

In that month of no interaction with Jaehyuk, you were scouted once again as you walked out the school gates. You felt completely overwhelmed, flustered when the same agents recognised and questioned why you didn't accept it the last time.

After talking it out with your brothers, and learning about your late mother's wish, you decided on auditioning for the companies. SM Entertainment was the first one to accept you, and you immediately started your training there, going to the company from your house every day.

I'll just hold it for a month and see where we go from there. You encouraged yourself, trying to forget the hardships as you left the studio after your dance lessons. As you walked to the changing rooms, you spotted a familiar face walking across the room. Jaehyuk oppa? Your eyes lit up as you took a few steps closer, realising it was indeed your best friend.

It was soon lunch time for the trainees; also the time where you were going to surprise Jaehyuk. You walked behind all the trainees, hiding under your hoodie, not wanting to ruin your surprise by Jaehyuk seeing you first.

After entering the hall, you scanned the room to find your best friend, immediately spotting him between a group of guys, laughing away. You smiled and walked up to them, softly tapping his shoulder, the biggest smile taking over your face.

"Yes? Can I — Eunbyul!" Jaehyuk wasted no time in getting up and hugging you, picking you up and twirling around as well.

"Hey," you softly muttered out, tearing up as you saw a teary-eyed Jaehyuk.

"I missed you so much," he mumbled, hugging you again, this time mostly to wipe his tears and not show anyone he was crying.

Jaehyuk pulled away after a while and sat you down, introducing you to the new trainee friends he had made. You nodded and greeted them, politely smiling at each one.
