"So, is this what we're doing?"

"What do you mean? We met for the first time like, ten minutes ago!" The girls face was painted with disappointment at his comment.

"So those nights we stayed up and talked about our greatest fears for ours, our hopes and dream, our lives... wasn't impressionable? Did it not count? Do I suddenly not know you now?"

Dream could only regret his choice of wording. "They meant everything to Dream. But this is not Dream right now, this is Clay. With out the mask."

"Welcome everyone, to today's interview!" The voice crackled through Layla's pink headset. It was terrifying,  and suddenly she was wishing the past week had been a long nightmare and this wasn't happening. But it was real, and continued nevertheless. "We are here with a very special guest chat! The first exclusive interview with Laylalovesflowers!" The two men cheered.

Layla could only laugh along awkwardly. "Hello.." her words came out as whispers.

"Ahh there she is, Laylalovesflowers how are you today?" The other man spoke, a cocky New York accent breaking through. She pulled up a view of their stream, watching the minimised face came of the two admins in the corner.

"I'm good... but you can just call me Layla, my username was from when I was a kid. I never go kround to changing it..." tried not to ramble, but her words flooded out as fast as she thought them.

"A kid? How long have you played minecraft then?" The one that 'chat' addressed as Neil cut in, tapping an audible pen on a wooden surface. It rung like a ticking time bomb, slowing down reality.

"Since it came out I guess... I remember when there was only two blocks in the whole game." Both men awed in disbelief, and Layla finally felt a little more relaxed with her only brag. "It's just the game I've stuck with."

Now Tony and his New York twang took over, "and why is that? Why has minecraft, this cube game, been the one you liked so much?"

The girl sighed lightly. "Mainly because it lets me do what ever I want. Like speed running-" Layla tried steering the questions to the topic at hand and not her life story.

...

"Like speed running." Her voice projected through the discord call, it was clear and warm feeling. She sounded like the definition of congenial... someone like himself.

"Oooh, hear that dream? Your not the only one who wastes their life on speed runs!" George laughed like a child, Sapnap joining in and effectively speaking over the girls words.
