"Are you sure about this."

He wanted to say no and run, to hide away and never look back, but his stature held still. "Yes." Dreams eyes shook as he raised his hand up. "I want you to see me first."

She looked up to him in awe as the man removed his hat, and now stood before her fully uncovered, his face naked and bare to the world. "... I-... -"

"Sorry." He didn't know why he was apologetic, guilty almost. "It took so long for me to show you-"

"No!" The girl reached up, handling his jaw with such care, "it was worth the wait."

It had been four days since they had ended their Twitter conversation, and nothing had yet to prevail. Dream felt as if he was going crazy, sure these things took time but she hadn't even been in contact to arrange anything, let alone called him. It was pulling on his chest, like an annoying itch he just can't reach.

"I just don't get it, Patches... am I over reacting?" The cat followed him outside as he carried out the rubbish, two large black bags weighing down both arms. "I mean... she didnt even say she wouldn't ring me, let alone a date to call..." His eyes drooped down to the floor, "and then she made my lips hurtttt~"

"Hey there." A voice emerged from behind him, and his arms dropped the bags instinctively with fright. They fell to the floor with a clatter, scaring the cat to run back inside. "Oh, I didn't mean to startle you! I just just heard you talking to your cat and well-"

"I wasn't talking to my cat." His head spun round furiously, only to be met by a very young, pretty female. She blond hair blew slightly over her face in the wind, and she smiled adjusting it.

"Who were you talking to about girl problems then?" Her smirk was mischievous, and she walked past him and over to her car on the opposite drive way.

"My-myself! And it's not girl problems, a work enquiry didn't call me!" He felt mocked, degraded by this woman. How she shoved him aside so easily, as if the conversation was merely to pass the time as she walked from her front door. "Your the new neighbour?"

"I believe I am, I moved in last week."

"I know, I hear you singing every night." His brows crumped at her chuckled response.

"Oh god, I am sorry about that but me and my friend get carried away." Her eyes looked back at him slyly through the open car door. "You know how it is, obsessing over a song, finding your soul mate and shit."

Dream frowned. "No. So please keep it down."

...

"Please, keep it down!"  Layla begged, her hands shaking. "I'm gonna do it!"

"You've been saying that for ten minutes, " Derek could only laugh at his friends misery. "Tell him you have a family thing, and your ready now. He won't ask questions, just call the damn man!"

"IM TRYING!"

"Ugh, I love you but god your hard to work with." The boy sighed, "I'll leave you to it, we still on for next week?"
