Emily was still in the room where she had English class with Melody and Crystal. It was 7:56 am and she was following Melody, so she could sit next to her. Once Melody sat down, she got pushed to the ground. "Emily!" Melody yelled.

"It's okay, I will just look for a different place to sit." Emily said to Melody, she then walked to the front of the room. She sat down in the last open seat. It was weird for her, only because she had no one she knew around her. Even though, she was hoping she would get help from Melody. She didn't know that the class was almost over. As she looked up at the clock, "Wow, this class is almost over. That went by fast." She said to herself. She then heard the bell, she got up and started to walk to her next class. She didn't want to go to her next class at all, she just wanted the day to be over with. She walked to every class she had by herself, it was then time to go home. Emily was just happy the day was over, even though she didn't want to go home to her mother..it was now 2:05 pm and she got on the bus, she was just happy to be out of that confusing school. "So glad to be going home, I literally didn't have a good day today.." She said, she then heard someone say her name.

"Hey Emily." She looked up and saw Colin standing there.

"Hey, I didn't know you guys were on this bus."

"Yeah, we're glad that it is the same bus as you."

"Yeah, glad I have some friends on this bus now." She said, Colin sat down next to her. Melody and Jordan sat in front of them. They all were talking the whole bus ride to their houses, when they got to Emily's stop; she got up and saw them all continue to walk in front of her. Were they in the same neighborhood? Even with new friends this year, she didn't even want to go to her house.

~Emily's House~

She walked to her house, she looked in the driveway and didn't see either of her parent's car. Of course they aren't home, when are they ever home. She then started to do what she does daily, "As usual, they aren't home.." She then walked into her house, the first area she went to was the living room. She dropped her stuff down, then she sat down on the couch. It was comfy and she never wanted to get up. She didn't even want to do her homework, she then realized she forgot to check the mail. She got off the comfy couch and got her shoes on, she walked outside to the mailbox. She opened it and there was a little white letter. "A letter?" She was confused, why was there a letter? She then opened it, it looked like something important and she just looked at it. She then threw it on the counter when she got back inside. "I don't need a letter to go to Caribou, ME. I'm going to move there, as soon as I am 18-years-old. I guess I'll just watch some TV." She said to herself, she walked over to the couch again and flopped onto it. She turned the TV on and watched some TV. She didn't want to do any homework, she then fell asleep watching TV and didn't even know that her mother and stepfather got home.

"Emily!" Her mother yelled, Emily didn't answer her; since she fell asleep. She then woke up. "Emily!" She heard this time, she then started to freak out.

"Yes mother!"

"Where is your homework?"

"In my backpack."

"Why isn't it out on the table?"

"I'll get it." Emily said, she walked over to her backpack. She grabbed her homework, she then walked over to the table and threw her homework on it. Her mother looked at it, she looked at Emily and sighed.

"What is this?" She said, she pointed at the homework.

"What do you mean?"

"There is nothing done on your homework, you should have done this when you got home."

"I didn't do it because I was too tired when I got home. I checked the mail and did my chores. I didn't want to do my homework." Emily said, she then looked at her. Emily looked up.

"You need to do your homework when you get home!" She started to yell at her, she pointed at Emily and got closer.

"I don't want to!" Emily yelled back at her, she looked at her. Emily didn't mean to yell, but her mother made her really mad. She always wanted to yell at her mother, but never got the nerves to do it. Her mother looked at her, then her stepfather came running into the kitchen.

"What is going on here?" He asked, they both looked at him.

"Nothing anymore." Emily said, she started to walk to her room. "I'm moving out!" She yelled, then her stepfather ran to her and stopped her.

"What?"

"I'm done with her yelling at me everyday, I want to live without her and with her friends. I got a letter today from someone that live in Caribou, ME. I want to live there." She said, he just looked at her.

"You're not leaving us. Especially your mother." He said to her, he sounded like her father, but she knew he wasn't anything close to her father.

"I'm moving out. I made the choice and I already bought a house up there. Sorry, but you're not my real father." She said looking at him in the eyes, she wanted to make sure she was making her own choices and he couldn't stop her.

"Why do you think you have a choice to leave this house?" Her mother asked.

"I will be 18-years-old in a couple of days, I want to move when I turn 18-years old."

"I'm not letting you move out of this house."

"You can't stop me!" She yelled at her mother again, she then came over to Emily and slapped her face. Emily went to her room to pack up her bags, even though she already had everything packed to leave. She grabbed her stuff and texted Colin. She waited and then she heard something hit her window, it was Colin, Melody and Jordan. She escaped out her window and then started to leave with them.

"Are you sure about this?" Colin asked her.

"Yes, I am moving away from my mother and being with you guys." She said, she noticed him looking at her face. She had a red mark on it, there were also some scratches too. She covered it and walked away from him.
