Chapter 8: Mission To Save Melody!

They were all standing at the treeline, Jordan looked so scared; but they were all scared to go in the woods. Jordan looked over at Emily, she looked at him and saw how much fear he had in his eyes. "I think we should go back to the house." Jordan said to both of them, he had this tone in his voice; it was fear.

"Jordan, we are here right now. We need to get over the fears we have to go in there and go get Melody."

"Can't she wait another day?" Jordan asked, Emily looked over at him. Colin even looked at him.

"Jordan, you need to be brave for her. Melody is your girlfriend."

"Colin, how am I supposed to be brave? You know that I'm scared to go in there." Jordan said, he started to back away from them and the treeline.

"Jordan, you can overcome your fear of the woods. It isn't that bad, we just need to get in there and find Melody." Colin said, Jordan just looked at him. Jordan didn't even want to go near the treeline, he wanted to save Melody; but he didn't want to be near the woods.

"Let's go get Melody!" Emily yelled with her arms in the air. She was ready to go in the woods, the only person that was ready like her was Colin. Jordan looked at both of them, Colin got tired and grabbed Jordan's arm. He dragged Jordan into the woods with them, Emily was leading the way while he was dragging Jordan. At 11:47 am, they were all walking through the woods. They were trying to find Melody, but it was hard since everything looked the same. Colin and Emily were trying to make it less scary for Jordan, since he was being a little scardy cat. "Look Jordan, it's another tree. Also, look over there." Emily said and pointed to another area. Jordan squinted his eyes and looked between the trees, he saw the deer that was standing there.

"That's what a deer looks like?" He asked, he looked over at Emily shaking her head yes. "Wow!" He whispered yelled, since he didn't want to scare it off.

"Isn't she pretty?" Emily asked Jordan.

"Yes she is, but why is the deer here by herself?" Jordan asked, he looked over at her.

"She could be looking for a new spot to live in." She said to him, he nodded and looked at the deer again.

"She looks like she is looking for a spot for a home to sleep." Colin added in, Emily looked up at him and smiled. She then looked at the deer and noticed it was moving slowly, it wasn't running at all. Like it didn't know that they could see it.

"She looks like she is looking for a spot to call home." Emily said watching it move.

"Hoping nothing gets her."

"Me too Jordan." Colin puts a hand on Jordan's shoulder. They then continued to walk more into the woods, they kept making sure that nothing touches the deer. They tried their best to see where the deer was and were it was going.

"Hey Emily." Jordan said and tapped her shoulder.

"Yes Jordan." She turned to him.

"I think someone is following us.." He said and looked around.

"Why do you say that?" She asked him, Jordan then grabs both Emily and Colin's arms and tries to get them to leave the woods. Since he knew that they won't be able to find Melody, Jordan didn't even want to be in the woods. He got dragged into the woods and wanted to leave the woods.

"Colin, do you feel like someone is watching us?" He asked Colin.

"Jordan, stop being scared. No one is watching or following us."

"Colin..." Jordan tried to get his attention again, "There is someone following us, they have been near the deer." He said and pointed over at the deer.
