Weeks had passed, and so far, it all turned out good. They could have their hang outs more often and Jisoo had much free time now, she didn't have sleepless nights anymore and had gotten healthier all thanks to Chaeyoung. Jisoo could maintain herself now because she knew that three women had her back. As they were eating at their everyday table in the cafeteria, Lisa gazed at someone from afar.
"Unnie, unnie" Lisa called as she shook Jisoo's arm that was rested on the table. "Yes"? The elder asked as Jennie and Chaeyoung were busy gossiping about something. Lisa looked at her, then at something to her right, Jisoo got the signal and followed her gaze. Jisoo saw some boys on the table that was right opposite theirs, but it was on the other end, quite far from them, they were fooling around as they laughed, playing with each other.
"What is it, Liz"? Jisoo asked, not getting what Lisa's point was. "You see that guy over there with a book"? Lisa asked. Jisoo saw who it was, well, there was a guy between the boys who was sitting at the right at the corner of the seats just like Jisoo, he was reading a book so peacefully, as if he wasn't really sitting on literally the loudest and most chaotic table in the whole cafeteria. "Yeah, what about him"? She asked. "I've noticed that from a past few days, he's been...looking at you frequently" Lisa answered, finally averting her eyes from the guy.
"What? don't be silly Lisa, we're popular, everyone looks at us, like all the time. And besides, we don't even know who he is" Jisoo said with a laugh, practically ignoring it. Lisa hid a smirk, as if she didn't know who he is. Lisa joined Jennie and Chaeyoung's conversation, Jisoo had joined as well when suddenly, she felt a gaze. But it wasn't new was it? She was the goddess of beauty and she wouldn't get stares? come on, she was used to boys gushing over her, and not only boys, even girls, every girl desired to have a beauty like hers, but she was the only one blessed, Yet the stare made her feel...uneasy.
She suddenly thought about what Lisa said, because it felt different. Lisa won't lie to me, would she? Jisoo thought. She looked directly at the guy, and indeed, he was looking at her. But she looked away instead of smiling at him that she usually does to the boys who stare at her, his gaze, his eyes, it was something else, too deep, she couldn't look at him right now. After some time, she decided to look at him just to find out what his intentions were, but as to their timeline was going really bad, he had glanced at her at the exact same time she had looked at him, which again, caused an unwanted eye contact, but he was quick to break it and narrow his eyes to the book he was reading.
"Girls, that guy is staring at me" Jisoo said to them. "It's not something new, Jisoo" Jennie said, Lisa smiled, it worked, Jisoo fell for the trap. "But still" Jisoo said, they all paused the conversation and looked at her, and at that time, Jennie sensed that something was up. Jisoo, being an overthinker, had enough stress to handle because she couldn't stand the guy looking at her in such a way that made her feel uneasy, and Jisoo wasn't someone who would sit back at the moment.
She stood and approached the boys table with the girls following her. "Excuse me who are you and why are you staring at me from the past few days"? Jisoo asked as she slammed her hand on the book he held, trying to be Jennie unnie huh? Lisa thought. He looked at the hand, then at her, "I'm sorry, what"? He asked. "Do I have to repeat the question"? She asked back, a little coldly. "Well, I don't think you have seen the view outside the window behind you, because if you had, then you would also like to glance at it from time to time" He said as he stood.
Jisoo was taken aback, he was taller than almost half of her height. She looked at their table and mentally face palmed herself, it was a beautiful view of the garden outside. She turned to him with her cheeks red out of embarrassment. "I-I'm so sorry, I didn't see that I thought you were looking at me" She said with a bow. "It's alright" He said, she turned and left to their table as she dragged Lisa with her. Namjoon sat down, and as he was gonna resume reading his book again, he saw jungkook winking at someone, he followed his gaze and saw that it was Lisa whom he had winked at, and Lisa, despite being dragged by Jisoo, winked back.
He cleared his throat, making jungkook look at him. The other 3 boys ignored what just happened, knowing that Namjoon doesn't do something without planning it. "Whatever you're thinking, never ever hurt her" He warned. "Of course, hyung" he said proudly, Namjoon just nodded.
