Incheon International Airport, Chaeyoung's arrival from Melbourne

Chaeyoung was exhausted from the 13-hour long flight, and just as usual, she had expected to see Jimin waiting there to pick her up from the airport, however, she was wrong this time, because...

"Chaeyoung!" She heard the feminine voices calling her in unison, she looked around to find them. The girls ran to her and engulfed her in a hug, she hugged back too, and her gaze landed on the five boys standing there. Jimin gave her an apologizing look, she just sighed, he knew her the longest out of everyone who was present right now, and he knew that the only thing she wished for after this flight was to sleep.

"We missed you so much! These two months felt like an eternity!" Jisoo exclaimed as they all smiled. "I missed you all more!" She said and they laughed. "Unnie I heard you're dating Namjoon oppa, congrats" Chaeyoung said to Jisoo, she just nodded with a small "Thank you".

"Let's go, yeah?" Jennie asked, they went to the van in which they came, Chaeyoung went to the very end, Jimin followed and they sat next to each other. The other pairs sat with each other and Jin was driving. Chaeyoung leaned her head on Jimin's shoulder, he didn't mind, he never did. He knew she was tired, so he didn't start a conversation like he would usually do.

Jimin was staring at her and realized that he had been staring for too long, the others don't know a thing about Jimin and Chaeyoung's family relations, so he just looked away so that they won't suspect something suspicious. After some time, he decided to glance at her, and as he had expected, she was fast asleep on his shoulder. Cute, he thought. But the thought hurt him instantly.

She still saw him as a friend, she never felt something towards him, he was just a good childhood best friend in her eyes, he hated himself for that, he hated the fact that he fell for someone like her, he knew she would never be able to return the feelings he has for her, and that was the thing that hurt him the most.

His eyes caught something shining, he looked closer, those were the diamond carvings in the letters PC that hung in a chain from her neck, resulting as a pendant. The letters were italicized, he found the pendant so, so familiar. He furrowed his brows and looked down at his own neck, oh shit. He was wearing the exact same pendant, but only his letters were different, he had PJ instead of PC. He thought about why they were wearing the same pendants, and realization hit him like a truck, it all made sense now.

I can't let that happen, it will end up hurting us both, I have to talk with father about this, he thought to himself and gave a faint nod. Jimin suddenly snapped out of his endless chain of thoughts and saw that the van was empty, and it was pin drop silence. "I dropped them home, we thought that it would be better if Chaeyoung could rest here for a while, her house is here, I'll wait for you in the van" Jin said when he noticed the confusion on Jimin's face, he nodded.

"Hyung you can leave" He said as he carried the sleeping beauty in his arms, Jin raised a brow. "How will you go home then? Now your car can't be at Chaeyoung's house, right?" Jin questioned. "No..." Jimin trailed off, he didn't know what to answer, oh well, he was caught red handed. "I'll explain everything later, okay hyung? Now just please don't ask anything" Jimin said, Jin just nodded and let him be, then he drove away.

Jimin rang the doorbell, the maid opened the doors and he greeted the lady before stepping in. He tried to make sure that her father doesn't see this, but he was wrong, the man was watching him from his work room, the door to his work room was slightly open, and he watched as Jimin carefully climbed the stairs as he carried Chaeyoung bridal style, Chaeyoung was a heavy sleeper indeed. He laid her on the bed, and thought that he succeeded in making it, he left the room and told the maid to take care of her.

"Son" The raspy voice called, making him stop in his tracks. "Uncle" Jimin said as he turned around with his sweet and low-key nervous smile. Jimin approached her father and he put a hand on his shoulder. "Why didn't you meet me when you came? You rarely come home, son" He said. "No uncle, I just thought you might be asleep at this time, so I was going to leave" He lied. "Oh I never sleep at this time, but that's alright" The man paused to look at Jimin's face and he gave him a look that screamed 'you know what I want to ask'.

Jimin let out a shaky breath as he broke the eye contact with her father. "We're doing good, uncle" He said, the man sighed. "Son, I know you know about it" He said. "This can't be uncle" Jimin said and turned away. "But why? Your dad told me that you like her" He said. Jimin didn't want to continue the conversation, he couldn't, it just hurt too much.

"I'll come again some other day with my dad, uncle, we could continue this conversation then, goodbye uncle" Jimin said and walked to the door, he left. I don't want to tie you in a bond that will destroy us Chaeyoung, I love you, I always did, but I have to give up on you, it's so hard but I don't have a choice, I'm sorry to you my heart, but you have to let go, He thought. He was walking on a street when his eyes landed on a wall that had a qoute written on it, the qoute broke him more than he already was, because it described his current situation perfectly.

I lost something,

 I never had.

yet it hurts, just as bad

He read it twice before leaving the street.
