Same day, earlier

They didn't even talk to me, should I go and apologize? would they forgive me if I let them be and live my own my life, if I let them love? If I...move on like everyone does? Jennie thought as she was approaching her building where she lived at, it was like a luxury hotel. As she was gonna go and type the code to enter, she saw a guy trying to get the code right, but he was failing. New Neighbor? She thought when she saw him with some luggage, she gulped before reaching out to him.

She typed the code before he could try again, she waited for the glass doors to open. "53836, don't forget it again" She told him, and the doors opened. She went in, he quickly took his bags and followed her, they were going the same way now. "53836, right?" He asked, he had a deep and unique voice. "Right" She said, and stopped at her door. As she stood fishing the keys in her channel bag, he stopped in his tracks and came to her. He held out his hand, she looked up at him. "I'm Kim Taehyung" He said with a box shaped smile, a killer one.

"Jennie Kim, but I don't shake hands with boys" She stated with her arms crossed. "O-Oh, okay. See you around then, Jennie" He said with a wave, and left. She smiled after he left, then she opened her apartment and went in. That guy was really something huh?  She thought as she sat down, he was really handsome, she had to admit, looking like an animation character, but she shrugged off those unnecessary thoughts and shook her head, she didn't want to think about him now, someone whom she just met.

Wearing a black Saint Laurent dress that was a little above her knees, Chaeyoung was walking in the huge building that her father owned, she was trying to find her father who was in here, but since there were no employees on the round floor, she couldn't even ask someone, the receptionist was busy with calls, she didn't want to bother her. Her black heels clicking on the marble tiled floor, her straight hair open with light makeup and a pendant hanging from her neck, she looked as elegant and kind as her heart.

As she was looking around while holding some important documents and files, someone bumped into her. She would've fallen down if the person hadn't caught her on time, she opened her eyes, and made eye contact with who it was. "Chaeyoung" He said, and let her go. "Jimin" She said, they both bent down to pick up what had fallen down. "What are you doing here?" They asked in sync after they stood, then giggled at that. "I was here to help dad with work, and you?" She asked.

"My dad told me to pick up some documents from here for the new project our dads are working on" He replied. Documents? could these be the papers?  She thought. "Wait, are these the ones?" She asked as she stood next to him and showed him the papers she had. He read the headings of files and suddenly noticed how close they were standing.

"Ah yes, glad that I can find you right here instead of roaming around like a lost person" He joked and she handed him the files, their hands occasionally touching, but that was just for millisecond. Because they were going the same way, they found themselves in a random conversation. An old man stood at the entrance, dressed in a 3 piece suit, he looked at the two youngsters with a smile.

His eyes trailing on their necks, they wore the exact same pendants, but they never noticed the small detail. They were always bound to each other, yet they never knew, the man thought. Yes, Chaeyoung and Jimin's fathers were best friends, so they grown up together, but Chaeyoung always saw him as a friend since childhood, yet he had feelings towards the girl but never told her.

"Good Afternoon Mr Park" Jimin greeted when he and Chaeyoung reached him. " Good Afternoon Son, long time no see" He said as the three smiled. "I was busy with studies, uncle" Jimin replied. "Its okay son, even Chaeyoung can hardly come" He said. "Dad wished to meet you uncle" Jimin told him, he nodded. "You two carry on, I'll leave now" He said with a pat on Jimin's shoulder, and then he caressed Chaeyoung's hair before leaving.  They looked at each other and started walking outside.

"See you again sometime, Jimin" She said with a smile, he smiled back and they parted ways. How he wished he could tell her the three words.
