"What do you mean, hyung? Hyung! Why can't i feel Ara anymore?" Jimin whispers, his voice full of pain and fear.

"Jimin-ah, i need you to breathe. I won't know till i see her but she sounds like too many feral patients i deal with everyday" Jin whispers as Jungkook and Namjoon join their hushed conversation.

"We won't know until they bring her here. I've instructed them what a safe dose is to give her to knock her out enough to being her home" Jin soothingly rubs his platonic soulmates shoulder, seeing him vibrate in his emotions.

"I hope Noona is okay.. i.. i never got to tell her.." Jungkook starts to tear up, Making Jimin pull him into a hug.

Namjoon is thankful that have Jimin, because the younger member is huge on skinship as is the other younger members and it helps in situations like these.

"You will get to tell her" Jin says quietly, looking over at Namjoon with the same unspoken certainty.

"I've knocked her out, plus i rented a car because putting her on a train is dangerous and will draw suspicion. I need you to get her home" Yoongi stares at Tae who just arrived as he speaks, making the other two nod.

"I'm not coming with you so you two take Ara" Yoongi says quietly.

"What are you gonna do hyung?" Tae whispers, lifting Ara over his shoulder. Her scent is no longer sweet with a hint of peach, it's all woodsy and fresh water which worries the Lion.

"I never smelled the person before, not even last time we were here, so this person.. they feel important and i can't explain why" Yoongi meets Tae's eyes.

"I understand" Tae whispers softly, the feeling of their bond ripped from him even if it was still new, leaves them both very empty and cold.

Even though the bond is now gone,  he still feels closer to the leopard in a way that he can understand the look in his eye because he's sure it matches his own.

His heart feels empty, every beat of his heart feels slower and slower with the missing prescence of Ara. He may not have developed feelings but he felt everyone else's growing feelings and it was enough to make him feel warm. Now?

Now he just feels cold.

"I'll take care if her, i promise hyung" Tae nods and carries Ara to the car, Hobi trailing behind with tears falling freely from his eyes while Yoongi watches them go with a heavy heart.

This is exactly why he didn't want a mate. He doesn't need anybody. At least that's what he has to tell himself now to stop his heart from shattering.

Yoongi turns on his heel and stalks his way through the facility where more people and scents are lingering so he knows somehow, as if by a miracle they have been undetected so far.

He sifts through the scents until he finds that one smell that doesn't belong and he follows it.

He wants to shift but he needs to be able to speak, to get answers. 

He finds the scent leading to an office secluded in a far corner of the underground facility so he cautiously presses an ear to the door and doesn't hear anyone.

Did i get the right one? Yoongi thinks to himself just as the door hand wiggles.

Before whomever is inside can come out, Yoongi rushes inside, locking the door behind him before the person can get over his startled state.

"Who-" the man gruffs but Yoongi catches him off guard again by gripping the lapels of his coat, hauling him against the wall.

That will certainly attract attention but Yoongi does 't care. If this is the last thing he does, at least it's for a good reason.

"Who the fuck are you?" Yoongi growls, his tail twitching and thumping wildly behind him.

"What's it to you?" The man sneers, his teeth sharp and pointy which Yoongi finds odd. "You're trespassing so you won't make it out of here alive, Leopard"

Yoongi narrows his eyes. He did not rise to power by "getting lucky" so he knows he can take this ugly foreigner on.

"What was in the dart you shot Ara with?" Yoongi's voice comes out low and cold, much like his soul.

"Ara? You mean the fox hybrid?" The man plays dumb, infuriating Yoongi further. He slams the guy harder against the wall, snarling in a way that makes the shorter man flinch. "It's easy. You saw her. I'm sure by now she doesn't even look human, does she"

Yoongi presses his forearm against the man's throat, making him continue through shallow breaths.

"She's probably feral by now, am i right? Your bond is ceasing to exist the longer she is feral until soon- poof" the man laughs at the fear in Yoongi's eyes.

"Who are you?" Yoongi presses, wondering how he knows so much about Ara.

"I am someone who knows Ara very well. I'm the one who made the serum who ripped her soulmate bond apart" the man flashes his teeth again, sending fear in Yoongi's heart at how sinister the smile is.

"So you killed Beyongkwan?" Yoongi's voice takes on the same cold detached tone he used when he killed all those hybrids for his appa.

"Beyongkwan? Ah the cheetah! How unfortunate that one. How was i meant to know he was allergic to the ingredients i used"

Yoongi presses against his throat, growling in his throat.

"You are avoiding a certain question and i wanna know why. How do you know Ara?"

The man rises his eyes to stare into Yoongi's pale white stare, flashing that sinister smile before whispering in Yoongi's ear.

Yoongi's eyes widen, shock coursing through his entire body which causes him to release the man.

The man scrambles out of the door, pressing the alarm to alert an emergency but Yoongi doesn't hear it.

Did i hear him correctly?

Yoongi gets prepared for the fight of his life, not sure if he will even make it out of here alive, but he has to try.

He has to try for her.
