Sages POV

When I woke up, I woke up to a knock on my door and footsteps getting quieter. I assumed whoever knocked walked away and I'd hear a few more knocks. I'd yawn and stretch before getting out of the bed. I'd go to the bathroom and look at myself in the mirror, seeing my blonde hair, extremely messy, my face looked like death and my green eyes just plain tired. I'd sigh and wash my face off before brushing my hair and throwing it up in a ponytail, and quickly throwing on some clothes from my bag. It would be a pair of tan cargo pants, a cropped blue tank top, and a green jacket. After I checked in the mirror to make sure I looked decent, I'd start to leave before taking a few steps back.

"Crap." I'd mutter, almost forgetting a small bracelet that was red and grey. I'd quickly put it on before leaving the room and looking around a bit. I'm not sure where Espe's room was, and I'm also not sure where Red was. Suddenly I'd recognize a guy from yesterday I somewhat remember, remembering that I was going to talk to him.

"Hey.. Uh.. I'm new here.. And I'm not really sure of what to do." I'd tap him lightly on the shoulder when I caught up to get his attention.

"I.. Guess you could follow me. I'm just gonna get some breakfast, maybe you can find Red there or the other girl you came here with when you're there." He'd mutter, not really looking at me, and keeping a sort of bored expression. He walked slightly slouched, but not the same way Red does when he's nervous or anything. He had his hands in his pockets, and kinda trudged on, I'm assuming something bad must have happened in his life or he's just a born bum.

"Oh, okay, thank you. My name's Sage by the way." I'd reply.

"Hm. Mine's Flynn." He'd say plainly. We'd keep walking in silence, luckily not really awkward silence. When we got to the cafeteria, I'd be behind Flynn as we got our breakfasts. When we sat down (he didn't mind me sitting with him), I'd be surprised at the amount of food there was, even for breakfast. I'd start eating,

"This is so much better than the rations we packed for the trip oh my god." When my food was maybe half gone, I couldn't eat anymore sadly. There wasn't that much food left, and I guess I'm not used to full meals yet. I'd feel a tap on my shoulder, surprising me, I'd turn to see Red standing next to me.

"So.. I see you are getting to know some people, that's good. How's the food?"

"The food is amazing." I'd say.

"But I don't think I can eat anymore." I'd laugh quietly, Red chuckling quietly for a moment.

"Well, we should probably go get Espe, I'm assuming she's sleeping in, seeing how that must be common, and we can start getting you two fully into the resistance." He'd say, stepping back a bit to let me get up. I'd turn towards the tray.

"What do you want me to do with it?" I'd ask.

"Oh, don't worry you can just leave it, someone else can pick it up for you today." I'd nod before following him. When we were away from people he'd ask,

"I forgot to ask you the questions last night..."

"Oh, yeah.. What were they?"

"So.. you mentioned about you two being anomalies, could you elaborate what kinds..?" I'd stop for a moment zoning out for a moment.

"Sage..? Is that too personal..? I'm sorry." He'd apologize.

"...Oh- Oh.. No it's fine.. I guess.. I'm a.. Nature elf.." I'd mutter.

"No idea what Espe is, we never really showed each other what we were, of course outside me using spells and such.." I'd reply, looking at Red's expression. He seemed to think about it for a moment before nodding slightly.

"Is that all..?" I'd ask.

"Mm.. Yeah I guess for personal questions for now. I have regular questions once we get Espe and get to the training room." I'd nod as we kept walking. I'd recognize my door and then noted that Espe's room was a few doors down from mine. He'd stop outside her door and looked at me, so I went ahead and creaked the door open slightly enough for me to slip in and keep anyone else from looking in. Seems kinda creepy.. But we're practically sisters, we grew up together. I'd close the door behind me and made my way over to the bed, slightly shaking Espe, making her only snore a bit louder before moving a bit. She'd have her back to me, and started to roll over to face me, so I turned my back to her before she rolled all the way over. She doesn't really want me seeing her real face, so I will respect that for her.

"Sage..?" She'd mumble tiredly.

"Wakey wakey." I'd say laughing quietly.

"Are you turned around..?" She'd ask.

"Mhm." I'd sound before spotting the light switch, going over to it and turning it on, laughing quietly at Espe groaning on the bed from the light.

"Hurry up and get ready, Red's waiting to start training us and stuff." I'd say before cracking the door open again and slipping out, quickly shutting the door behind me so Red couldn't even get a glimpse inside.

"Is she up?"

"Yup. Maybe give her five minutes or so." As we waited, Espe would soon leave her room, and Red would lead us to the training room. When we got in there, I'd look around the room at all the equipment and other people who were training.

"So.. What's your fighting styles?" He'd ask us.

"Close range.. Er Melee." Espe would say.

"Melee." I'd respond as well.

"Okay.. So I guess we'll start there, then move to test long range and maybe train you two more there, and then see if there's anything else you two can do that'll be useful." He'd clap his hands together and had a grin on his face, I'd laugh quietly. I'd look over at Espe to see her looking at me. I just wish I could tell how she's feeling all the time. Now that we're in a new environment, it's going to be a little harder to predict...
