The Traitors Amongst Us

The Beginning

 It was early for most of them. But some looked like they didn't wanna be there. For Julius, he could care less, he was prepared for the day ahead and the new people he'd be stuck with. Hoshi was more focused on who was gonna be the best to stick around. Jess was more focused on making sure no one noticed how on edge she was. Rose was excited to see the medbay. Remiru, on the other hand, could already tell she'd hate this. Cayde was being Cayde and not paying attention, being more focused on heading to space.

Yet that didn't stop anyone from not trusting the other. The other crewmates could already tell the six of them would be hard to get along with, but they were seen as decent in some eyes. Yet, this is where they have to deal with each other until they arrive at their destination.

The group of people all walked onto the ship heading straight to the cafeteria to discuss with the host/captain the plan and how things were gonna work.

"Alright all of you listen up." The captain dressed in the brown suit spoke out to everyone. "Here's how things work: you get your tasks done and help out the others. You always travel in pairs," He said, staring at the newbies. "Am I clear?".

Remiru sighed, catching the attention of the captain. "Got something you wanna say black?" Brown asked before having the attention on her. "Actually I do, why travel in pairs if the person next to you could immediately mess everything up." She barely peeks up. The second she said that, Rose spoke up. "Well if we all stay with someone maybe we have a better chance of getting tasks done quicker." Rose spoke enthusiastically with a smile, seeing the girl smile caused a tsk to leave Remiru's lips.

"Alright, I'll pair you up. Lime, you're with White. Cyan and Black. Yellow stays with Pink. I'll go with Green, Blue and Purple stay together," The captain spoke before turning around. "None of you kids die on me". He said before walking off with Green. That caused a thought to pop into Julius' head. 'Why would you tell us not to die, it's not like one of us could be that bloodthirsty,' The male was so lost in thought, he didn't notice the smaller female trying to get his attention so they could go to admin.

"Hello! Anyone in there?" Hoshi laughed, waving her hand in Julius' face. "Huh? Oh sorry. So if we're partners, we should exchange names right?" He asked, staring down at the smaller female dressed in the lime colored suit. "Oh, right. I'm Hoshi, but you can call me Boogie if ya want," She said with a small smirk rising on her lips. He took note that she seemed comfortable, but a little on edge. Probably from what the captain said. "Julius Hall, it's nice to meet you Boogie," He said, holding out his hand for her to shake, making her smile and shake his hand in return, and nodded as if saying you too.

"So, where to partner?" Julius said in a more snarky tone, as if he was trying to tease her, but being a little mean. "Oh, admin. We gotta go swipe our cards. Remember dummy?" She said before heading off ahead of him. He sighed, thinking now she's way too calm and just followed after.

Remiru sighed while finishing up wires, she hated the way this guy stared at her. "Do you mind?" She huffed, sitting up to glance at him. "No, I don't mind, just making sure you're not faking anything." he huffed, glaring down at her. Then, she had that mental realization this guy is an asshole.

The two sat there having a staring match until she finished the last wire, looking back at him she started to notice things she didn't know before. "What's the bruise from"? Remiru asked, continuing to stare. "Oh nothing, now stop staring." Cayde rolled his eyes before the lights went off. Remiru immediately tensed up, clinging to the closest thing to her, Cayde. "What are you doing? I gotta fix the lights," he whisper yelled at her. She slowly let go, still afraid. She hated the dark, and Cayde would remember that. Going around the corner he saw Jess and Rose already there. "Oh hey Cayde.'' Rose said, waving just as lights turned back on. "Hey where's everyone else"? He asked before looking back to see Remiru calm again and moving next to him. "Don't know, probably doing tasks.'' Jess shrugged before turning around. "Should we all go check"? Rose asked looking around at the others. "First, let's find Lime and White." Remiru stated before walking off ahead of the others. "Rem wait up!" Cayde shouted after her, jogging so he was beside her. The other two following close behind. "Why, you have legs, use them. Besides, I'm 5'2 my legs are short, you can keep up." She stated calmly, continuing to the cafe to see where everyone was, only to hear someone scream from communications. "What was that?'' Rose gasped softly, fear lacing her voice. "Come on guys, what if someone's hurt?" Jess looked back at everyone, starting to run towards communications, the others running behind her. When they arrived, they saw the captain, Green, White, and Lime. But no one else. "Where's Blue and Purple?" The captain asked. "Maybe they're in the room." Lime hummed, showing very little worry, causing Julius to note that in his head. The door was closed meaning they couldn't get in.

Remiru sighed. "What if someone died." She stated bluntly, glancing around at the group. "Then we know their partner did it," The captain muttered. And when the door opened, all the group saw was the blood of a comrade. The blood of Blue.
