Finally the day is over. Today has been long. I hope I won't see either Mel or Lukah as I leave. I go to my favorite coffee in order for me to grab something to eat before I get back to my room.
Once I'm there, I notice Hunter seated in a chair. I decide against calling out for him and so I pretend as though I hadn't seen him. Hardly had I looked away when he looked at me and locked me in his gaze. He gestures for me to go seat with him and so I follow.

"Hey."

"Hello."

"I didn't expect to find you here," I say in between my teeth.

"Why? Is it because I'm new here?" He smiles.

'No it's because you irritated me earlier,' my conscious throws at the back of my head but I ignore it.

"Yeah, I hadn't thought you knew any place."

"I was recommended some places to visit while I'm here."

"Oh okay that's nice, so what brings you here."

"My mom died of cancer last month and she told me that I could find my dad if I came to the US."

"I'm so sorry to hear that."

"Thank you, but at least I had ample time to enjoy her presence most people don't get the opportunity I had."

"Yeah, I guess you have a point," I smile. "You know I have literally been dying to go to Australia."

"Really?" He continues, " why haven't you ever been then?"

"I always wanted to experience everything with my best friend so I wanted to wait for the perfect time when we could there together, there was a time when we were supposed to go there but then due to circumstances beyond my control, we couldn't go. But I've been thinking of going there with her this summer."

"That's a really good idea for a summer vacation, it's a really beautiful place."

"Which part are you from?"

"Sydney."

"Oh, I hear it's nice."

"Yeah it is."

The waiter interrupts us by saying, " excuse me ma'am the cashier hadn't got a response from you on whether to pack the food to go or if you're going to have it here."

"Uhm to-go please."

"Alright ma'am."

"Thank you."

Shortly after he arrives with my food and I acknowledge him by nodding my head and then I place a tip by the edge of the table.

"I guess I'll be on my way now," I say as I stand up from the table and walk towards the door.

"You mean to tell me you're leaving now?" He asks with unhappiness in his tone as he follows me behind.

"Yeah I've got a busy schedule," I say to him as I turn and maintain the distance between us.

"Oh okay, well then when can I see you again?

"Uhm tomorrow.......at school."

He takes a step closer to me, " I don't mean for a formal meeting, I was thinking you and I could-"

"I'm sorry but I'm really not interested in going out on a date with a guy I just met."

"It doesn't necessarily have to be a date, it could be a friendly lunch."

"Like I said, I'm fine thank you."

"Okay, though could I escort you?"

"Yeah don't push it," I say as I slam the door behind me.
