Chapter 33

Hanna's POV
It's been a few hours since surgery. I've texted Dylan at least 10 times and my mom has tried to call him at least 5 times. Ronni was sitting with me on the bed and Jordan was on the bedside, left to be exact. We were all laughing at funny TikToks and insta reels. Ronni and I were best friends when we were younger, same with me and Jordan. We were all a trio yet we never came up with a name for ourselfs. When Jordan and Ronni decided to talk when Jordan and I were freshman, Ronni an eightgrader, Ronni fell for him hard and Jordan started to like the new girl, Elise. After about a week of her being at school me and her became best friends and Jordan didn't wanna mess that up for me so he backed off. The trio kinda fell apart when Ronni became depressed because the "love of her life" didn't wanna be anything more. I was still best friends with Jordan after everything and Ronni kinda pushed me away because of it. Mixed in with all of that drama was Dylan drama. So life was that easy for her. In about a month she starts her senior year of high school. I'm excited for her. Then no more of us kids will be in school, except for Isla who's starting kindergarten. "Hey Hanna?" Ronni asked me. "Yea?" "Are you going to be getting your own pace to live here, in LA?" "I'm not sure. Why are you asking?" "I wanna live here with you and go to a high school here and not back home." Ronni looks a little sad. Maybe she misses her big sister. "Ronni, you have a ton of great friends back home just dying to start senior year with you." "yea I know but I miss you and well Jordan-" I look at Jordan and he cut Ronni of by clearing his throat. He smiled at me. It's kinda my fault Jordan and I aren't close. I became closer to Elise than him and he was kinda always jealous of Ty when we were together. "Jordan what?" I asked. "I wasn't gonna tell you until you got out of the hospital but thanks to Ronni-" "Hey! You know not to tell me secrets!" she raises her voice and we all start laughing. My mom and Luke get up. "We're going to get food. Text me what you guys want." Luke said as he headed over to my right side. Ronni tried to move but he practically squished her before she could move. He gave me a kiss on the forehead then gave Ronni a high five. "Okay. So tell me your secret. I'm dying to hear it." "okay. I'm getting an apartment here in LA and I'm gonna find a job." "No shit?" I raised my voice a bit. "And I wanna live here too so the trio can be together." Ronni said as she got up to plug in her phone. "We will definitely talk to mom." I said as I motioned that I wanted a group hug. Ronni whispered in my ear "If Corbyn don't work out, I'll be supportive if you get with Jordan." Then she started laughing. "What's so funny?" Jordan asked. "Oh nothing" Ronni and I said in unison and laughed even harder. Us laughing harder made Jordan start laughing.

After another hour I saw some familiar faces walking towards my door. Zach, Jack, and Daniel all had gift bags in their hands. Daniel had 2 though. They walked in and Zach said "Hannie, oh my gosh. You look like you need sleep." "hi Zachyyy. You don't look like you've slept much yourself lately either." I said with a laugh. He put his hand on his chest. "Jesus Han I think my feelings just got hurt." I started to laugh as well as Jack and Daniel. Zach handed me his gift. "You are going to love mine better." "I'm sure I am." I said with a giggle. I opened the gift bag and there was some shirt like looking stuff in there. I pulled out the one on top and it was a white crop top with a pineapple on the left chest side. I pulled out the next thing and it was another crop too that what appeared to be in Zach's writing and some fabric paint said "Zach Herron is my favorite person" with a heart. The last thing was sweatpants. They were white with a pineapple on them as well to come with my crop top. "Dang Zach, I didn't know you were my favorite." I staged with a laugh. He gave me a sad puppy look. "Thank you" I said with a smile, not showing my teeth. "Come here" and I motioned him over. I gave him a hug. I missed hugs, but I think I'm missing Corbyn's a lot right now. Jack handed me his bag and it was a crop top with Jack's writing saying "Jack Avery's little sister, don't mess with me" it was small writing but readable and I loved it. He had a handwritten note in there that read:
"Hanna, since we've been getting closer I've realized that you're not someone to mess with. You've finally found happiness, let's hope I don't have to beat Corbyn up, and I couldn't be any more proud of you. Don't take bullshitting from other people and let me know if I need to kick some ass. I love you Han. Thanks for being a bright light in my life."

I felt a year stream down my cheek. I quickly wiped it away, but everyone was watching me. "I'm sorry Han was it what I said about Corbyn?" Jack asked as he rushed to my side. "No I'm just a little tired and emotional." I said with a slight laugh. "There's something else in there too." I looked in the bag and there was another piece of paper. It was from a coloring book. It was a picture of a mermaid that Lav had colored. On the back she wrote: I love you Hanna." -Lav It was so cute. I look at Jack an give him a hug and he says "I had to help her write that." and then he laughed. Daniel handed me his present. It was another crop top that said "Daniel Seavey is my bestie" "I think I disagree with that" Zach said with his big smile. "I'm pretty sure I'm here bestie" Jordan pipes up. "No no no that should say Ronni Hemmings not Daniel Seavey" Ronni got in with the argument. "I have too many besties." I stated. "Oh my gosh" Ronni said. We all laughed. "There's something else in there too" Daniel said as he pointed to the bag. There was a little object in the bottom. "A $50 gift card to Texas Roadhouse?" I looked at Daniel. He had a huge smile on his face. "You shouldn't have." I said as I reached to give him a hug. "Oh yea." he said as he handed me another gift bag. "This is from Jonah." I opened the bag to find a gift card on top. "Starbucks gift card" I practically yelled. "One hundred dollars!!" I got louder. "Damn Daniel, Jonah got you beat" Zach said as he sat on the left side of the bed. Everyone started laughing. There was yet again another tank top in there that said "I ❤️ Jonah Marais" I started to laugh and then I showed everyone else. "Yeah he stole my idea" Zach said in a disappointed tone. I patted his hand and leaned into him a little. "It's okay Zach I like yours too. I like all if these." I stated. "Oh there's something else in there too" Jack said. I looked and there were socks. One said "Why Don't We" and then five more pairs said all the boys' names. "This is awesome" I said as I grabbed my phone. I text Jonah thank you for the gifts and he texted back your welcome. I was happy and not one bad thing about Corbyn came into my mind after I read Jack's note. I laid my head on Zach's should. "I'm tired" I said in a whiny voice. "You can sleep. We'll all just hang out in the couch." Daniel said a he sat down right next to Ronni. Jack sat right next to him. Zach asked if he should get up and I shook my head no. Zach got comfortable and then I did. I closed my eyes and fell asleep. This time I fell asleep thinking about all good things no bad things. It was very relaxing.
