A/N: Telly helped me write some of this (ahem without me knowing like excuse me) so be sure to tell her she did well.

~Focused on Nagito~

The albino could've sworn he heard Hajime somewhere, so why couldn't he find him? Ah, it was probably just my imagination. I'm too stressed out right now.

Nevertheless, he kept calling. "Hajime! Hinata-kun! Where are you?" He yelled, his voice becoming sore.

A voice called back, not distant but weak sounding. "I-I'm in the cornfield, near the red barn! There's . . . there's an emergency, so hurry!"

Nagito rushed as fast as he could to the nearby barn. He found the lump of a human being slumped over on the side of it, sweaty and out of breath. "Hajime! Hajime, darling, angel, why did you come for me?"

"I . . . needed . . . to," he said between deep breaths. "God, I . . . have such . . . low . . . stamina." Nagito placed his palm on his partner's forehead.

"You're burning up! You need to rest . . . we should head back."

"Oh right! The . . . the ship, Nagito. It's . . . it's sinking!"

Sinking? Shit, this is all my fault! If I hadn't been so selfish and- "I know what you're thinking, Nagito," the brunette smiled, grabbing Nagito's hand. "It's not your fault. Now come on, help me up."

Nagito pulled Hajime's arm, and he wobbled, holding onto his shoulder. "You're weak, Hajime. Let me carry you or something."

"Carry? Hey, no- Woah!" Nagito swooped him up off his feet, picking him up bridal style. Hajime wrapped his arm around the slightly taller one's neck, holding onto him like it was the end of his life. Nagito started running, with no respect for the cornfields he was trampling.

"Call Kirigiri and tell me where to go!" Hajime didn't even bother to complain, dialing his phone.

"Where are you guys?" Pause. "How far out are you?" Pause. "Okay, Nagito and I are on our way." Pause. "Yes, I found him. Well, he found me." Pause. "Yeah, I'm a little tired. We'll be right there!" And with that, he hung up and put his phone back in his pocket. "They're a couple of hundred meters off the coast of the nearest docking point."

"Sounds good." Nagito, despite his legs aching and his lungs feeling like they were going to collapse, picked up speed. Mind over matter, right?

They soon arrived and the docking point, which was a little less crowded than the other side of the gulf was. Nagito pulled out his phone. "I'm going to call Quill and Takai, you call a coast guard or something." They needed all the help they could get.

"Quill Kikaze here. Komaeda-san? Why are you calling us?"

Nagito glanced at the black bob in the middle of the ocean. "Is Takai there? The ship we were staying on is sinking, and all our friends are still on it."

A little voice popped up in the call, and Nagito noticed it belonged to Takai. "I'm here! Are you safe, Ko-chan?"

"Yeah, Hajime and I are safe and on the docking point at the north side of the gulf."

"Shoot, and at like one in the morning? Damn, what bad luck you guys have," Nagito could hear Quill sigh. "We'll be right there. Did you guys call the coast guard or something?"

"Hajime is calling them," Nagito assured, glancing over at the brunette.

"Good. Tell him we'll be right there." There was a soft click as Quill hung up.
