-Ava-

The ride to the apartment was quite, I was trying to stop myself from falling asleep because I wanted to see in my bed. We pulled into the parking lot of the complex and I got out of the car and walked with Kat and Maya to our home.

When the door opened the apartment was spotless and couldn't tell anything ever happened. I walk to my room and sat on my bed, Calum knocked on the door frame and I looked at him. "You left me behind." Calum jokes while taking off his vans and getting in bed with me. "Sorry, I just wanted to get in here so I can sleep." I yawned and cuddled into his chest. "That's okay...you sleep before the guys get here for Christmas...goodnight." Calum kissed my head and I felt my body get heavier by the second as I drifted off to sleep.

I woke up and Calum was still there on his phone. He just scrolling through instagram and not liking anything. "You're awake!" He puts the phone on the bedside table and looks at me. "I am." I said as I stretched out. "Well everyone is here so let's go to the living room." Calum gets out of bed and helps me up. We walk down the hall to living room. "Sleeping beauty is awake now." Luke jokes, I nod while I found a seat on the ground next to the tree.

Maya and Ashton took it upon themselves to hand out the gifts, Calum pulled me into his lap, I tried to sit next to him but he keep pulling me back on. "You're sitting here princess." Calum whispers in my ear. Eventually Ashton and Maya got everyone their gifts "Alright we can start opening presents." Maya said, the room filled with paper tearing and thank you's. Maya and Kat got me clothes I would like and a book of stories from a morgue. Michael, Ashton, and Luke each gave me their merch. "Thank you, I'll add this to the million of pieces of 5sos merch in closet." I joked to them. They had the biggest grins on their faces.

Calum hands me a gift, "This is from me." Calum softly said as I open to a velvet box. My heart starts racing. I opened the box to the ring I tried on in Australia "Oh Calum..." I turned around and looked at him. "Baby...I had KayKay go back to the jewelers and get this after she told me all about it. I was going to propose to you in Australia...so Ava baby will you marry me?" Calum plays with my hair. My mind was going a mile a minute and I looked around the room everyone was smirking.

"Yes." I said. Calum takes the ring and slides on my ring finger. "I knew I had to go through with this especially after what you said to me in your last session. You said you saw a husband in me when I was with you at the hospital. That was a clear sign to go ahead with my plan. I am still going to make it up to you every day for the rest of my life." Calum pulls me back in his lap and I crash my lips on his. I didn't care that everyone was watching I just wanted him so bad. "Okayyy we are still here." Luke cleared his throat and I broke the kiss and felt my cheek flush with color.

After everyone giving their gifts I started cleaning up the wrapping paper. "I'm coming around with the trash bag please pick up all the wrapping paper around you." I said opening the bag, Michael tried to throw it in and kept missing. "Michael, I'll get to you when I get to you. stop throwing to be the next NBA star." I roll my eyes at him.

"Where are the girls?" I ask Ashton when I got around to him. "The girls went home to their families when we came back to LA. That was the plan to begin with." Ashton explained. I eventually got to Michael who still was trying to throw the mess in the bag. A ball of wrapping paper hit me in the face. I glared at him "My bad!" Michael defends himself. Maya and Kat got started on Christmas dinner while I was cleaning up. Luke took Michael and Ashton to the dumpster to throw away the mess of our Christmas 'morning'. I yawned as I sat on the couch, "Cmon let's get you to bed. I'll wake you up when dinner is ready." Calum carried me to my bedroom.

I laid Ava down in her bed and then left the room. Kat and Maya were standing in the hallway waiting for me. "Goddamn You two fucking scared me." I jumped at the sight of them. "Why didn't you run the proposal by us?" Maya furrowed her eyebrows at me. I groaned quietly so I wouldn't wake up Ava. "Because I don't need your approval on anything." I walk past them to the living room. "We are her only family she has Calum! We are all a family! I thought we would be in the loop!" Kat blurt out.

The guys walk in and see me being yelled at again. "What's going on?" Ashton steps between Kat and I. "I just wished Calum was going to tell us what was happening with the proposal." Kat walks away into the the kitchen with Maya. "I mean they do have a point." Michael interjects. I roll my eyes and sit on the couch.

A scream comes from the bedrooms and I run to Ava's room and she is tossing and screaming in her bed. I grab her and try to soothe her in my arms. "Ava! Baby! It's okay!" I wake her up. Her eye shoot open and looks around the room, "I'm sorry...I just have reoccurring dreams about my accident." Ava sits herself beside me. "They used to be a lot worse when I was the hospital." Ava fiddles with her hospital band. "Don't apologize." I kiss her head and hold her close. "I love you Calum." "I love you baby."
