Chapter Eleven

All hybrids go through heat, just like animals. This is a period of time that their bodies will want to reproduce. Heats are extremely painful for hybrids if they are not taken care of.  

Many hybrids do not want to go through heats with a partner if it is not their mate.  

Mates are connected from birth, and there will be a special bond between the two.  Hybrids are often mated with other hybrids but it is not rare if one of the mates is human.  

However, if mates refuse each other, it will cause both parties to go through an immense amount of pain, which often leads to death.  

If the hybrid gets rejected by the human mate, the hybrid will die, while the human feels no pain at all...

"God, this seems unfair to hybrids..."  you mumbled.  "Why does the human get to live but the hybrid dies?"

"Y/n?"  a voice called out.

"Yes, Jimin?"  you asked as you closed your laptop and put it on your desk.

"I heard what you were talking about,"  he started.  "Taehyung told me something, and I'd like to know how you would feel if you had a mate..."

"How I would feel?"  he nodded.  "Well, I'd be okay with it, since it isn't the hybrid's choice..."  you said.  "It would be cruel if I took someone's life because I didn't like them.  Why do you ask?"

"Don't tell him this, but he said he thinks you are his mate,"  he said.  "Please don't hate him, especially after what he has gone through."

"I could never hate him,"  you said.  "I've only known him since yesterday, but I've already had a few good memories with him,"  you smiled.  "Honestly, I think I already fell in love with him."

"I'm sure he would be happy to hear that,"  he smiled.  "But I also believe you are his mate because I haven't heard of hybrids getting pushed into heat unless if their mate causes it."

"We will find out someday, I suppose.  Honestly, I would be happy to have a mate,"  you said.  "Someone to love me for the rest of my life sounds like a dream come true."

"It does?"
