Day two, ???

I yawn, the morning sun brushing my face, I smiled softly. My face warming up as I hear birds chirping. Silence.

I sat up, rubbing my eyes I put my backpack on my back, grabbing my bow and arrows I took from the armory and headed straight. I don't know where I'm going, I just need to be away, to be by myself. Find myself.

I find a river, it shined and glimmered with the sun. It danced but— there were walkers in it.

I sighed, not a single moment of piece? At least I can practice my shooting on them.

I hooked the arrow, pulling it back to my ear, I took a deep breath, my arrow wavering.

I shot, I zooms far past the walker to the other side of the river. I groaned quietly as I hooked the bow and arrow on my shoulder, heading straight towards them.

With no hesitation, I pulled the knife I had back grabbing the walkers neck and hooking it's knees with one foot, it plummets into the water. I stab it.

With ease and quickness I grab the other, stabbing it as the blade exits the front of the head. They collapsed in the water. There goes the water I needed.

I carefully crossed the river, pulling the arrow from the tree I halted, hearing loud growls from the distance.

Why can't I just relax for one minute? Just one?

I walk carefully away from the growls, making a straight line forward. There seemed to be more walkers running around, weird.

I continue in the straight line; focusing on something else.

If I went back, to Negan, would he change? Maybe I could convince him to stop? Maybe I could figure out how to end the Saviors by going back.

I hear the growls growing distant. Feeling safe enough I sit on a tree, looking through my back pack.

"Where's my knife?" I questioned myself quietly. "I didn't drop it..."

I groaned angrily. But I became more suspicious. I thought I had my knife when I killed those walkers. Where would it go?

"I let her." I tell Carl, walking into the house.
"Why would you let her leave!" Carl yells, grabbing my sleeve, "Dad she is recovering from an injury!"

I stopped, looking back to him I glared, "Do you think I don't believe she can handle herself? She needed to be alone for awhile."

Carl stammered, "I'm going after her."

I laughed, shaking my head frustratedly, "Carl, she wants to be alone."

"She'll get hurt!" He yelled back at me, "I'm going for her whether you or someone else is coming with me."

I continued straight, ignoring the knife situation I see a road, stopping roughly.

"Hello!" A voice called.

I sprint behind a tree. Covering my mouth or hide my pants.

"Please come out!"

Oh god they saw me.

I pull out one of my throwing knives, holding it to my chest in a defensive position.

"I can't find her anywhere,"
"We've been searching all day Carl, let's just turn around and go back."

Carl?
"Carl!" I called, turning from out behind a tree, I see his form, sitting there, looking at me. "Isabella!" He smiled, running up to me with wide arms he envelopes me in a hug.

I look at the person next to him, which was Michonne.

"Your coming back whether you want too or not." Carl growled, grabbing my hand he starts to drag me towards where they came from, "Carl I-" he stops us, turning around sharply he glared hard, "You. Are. Coming. Home."

"Carl really?" I laughed, "I've been gone for 24 hours, alone. And you freak out!?"

He turns around, "You are injured! You just had a miscarriage and you are OUT IN THE WOODS ALONE!" He screamed, Michonne flinching ahead of us, "YOU COULD HAVE DIED AND NEVER CAME BACK!"

I paused, frozen I had no words, "... I was going to come back." I whispered.

"And now you are!" He yells, shoving me next to him roughly, "I don't CARE if you left for A DAY! You are risking something you don't need to risk!" He yells as we stomped back.

"Carl I did it for all of you." I said calmly.
"B-But you put yourself in Danger!? You did that for what!" He yells, getting emotional, "We looked for you all day today and we're exhausted!"

"I DID IT BECAUSE I DIDNT WANT ANYONE ELSE TO DIE!" I yelled back sharply.

I pulled my hand back, panting I held my side, "C-Carl, I'm the reason he had to pick who to kill, because I was ignorant enough to believe I could charm him to stop. I thought he loved me enough. But I was a fool." I glared, Carl looked at me shocked.

"Carl, I'm leaving." I hesitated, "I want to leave for a long while."

He just looked at me, tears about to start pouring, "B-But?-"

"Carl." I whispered softly, walking up to him I rested my hand on his cheek, "I put everyone in danger because of what I did. The last person I need to leave me is you. If I lost you, I'd loose everything." I felt tears welling up in my eyes as he sniffs, looking at me like this was the last time he'd ever lay eyes on me.

"Carl. I love you." I smiled sadly, "And if you were to ever be in trouble, I'd be there, remember that."

He starts to sob, jumping on me in a hug I stammered back, "I love you. I can't loose you. That's why I came back for you." He cried in my shoulder, "I can't let you be alone."

For a moment, I remember the fantasy I had. Where I was with Rick, having RJ, the apocalypse over. Ending on a good note. But I know, deep inside of me, I'll die with the apocalypse raging. Rick will, Carl will.

If I die at the hands of a crazed man, so be it. I'm staying with my family.
