ᴀʀɪᴀ ꜰᴏᴜɴᴅ ʜᴇʀ ʜᴇᴀᴅ ʀᴇꜱᴛɪɴɢ on her best friend Michael's chest. Both were in the garden of the girl's house as every evening, waiting for the sunset to make its appearance in the sky.

-Amelie spoke to me again. - The boy spoke.

-What did she want this time? - The redhead asked curiously.

-To talk and fix things, but I got tired of her games a long time ago. - He sighed the dye. - Besides, you know there's someone else on my mind for a while now. - He smiled.

-You're not going to tell me who she is yet, are you? - The girl growled.

Michael laughed and shook his head, receiving a small blow to the shoulder from his best friend.

The boy had a two-year relationship with Amelie, which ended with her infidelity. When he found out, he thought about all the times Aria had told him that that girl wasn't good company and that at some point he would hurt her, he should have listened to her right away. The redhead, for her part, had never had a serious relationship since no matter how hard she tried, her mind and heart were with Michael.

Exactly, she's in love with him since she was 10 and well, so is he. Why weren't they together? Fear. The two youths were terrified of expressing their feelings and not being reciprocated, causing the expression to spoil their friendship of nearly 22 years. They'd always been there for each other, with all their teenage fights going on but always leaning on each other.

Aria felt her heart shrink every time Michael talked about that "mystery girl" he didn't want to tell his best friend about. She had enough in her relationship with Amelie, the redhead was crying every night knowing that she was unrequited and that that girl had the heart of her best friend.

-You don't have anyone? Surely you have set your sights on some guy, Ari.- Michael took the girl out of his thoughts.

-No, there's nobody Mike.- laughed.

-Aria Johnson, you won't fool me. - The boy scolded her.

He knew perfectly well there was someone, but she never told him who she was and she just denied it. In part he preferred not to know, because that would make him feel like three kicks in the stomach. She ignored his scolding, watching as the sky changed its colors and formed a beautiful canvas as the colors of the sky mixed with the clouds. The two adored to see the sunsets in the company of the other, without them knowing it, their hearts got the same rhythm and peace surrounded them.

Michael took the courage to pass his arms around her waist, sitting between his legs. Both feeling the touch of the grass under their legs. Aria noticed how the colors rose to her cheeks and inside she was screaming of happiness, although she knew it was normal for the boy to give her that kind of affection, they were best friends. Sadness took over her body again, feeling his eyes begin to itch, but she stood firm. The boy noticed how her heart began to beat faster when she laid her hands on his, but unlike her, he was still happy.

-You know? I think watching the sunset with you every day is my favorite hobby. - Michael broke the silence. - I hope to do so for the rest of our lives. - He smiled happily.

Aria turned her head to see the boy's smile, something that made her unconsciously smile in turn as she watched the boy's every faction. He had a round face, green eyes that took everyone's breath away, and a lovely smile. How could I not be in love with every part of her body and soul? She was the perfect person for any girl.

-I also hope to do it always. - Sighed.

The two young boys were at the door of her house saying goodbye until the next day. Michael hugged his friend, pressing her against his body and inhaling the scent of her hair, smiling in the midst of the loving act. Aria corresponded to the boy in the hug, as she prayed she would never leave her side.

-See you tomorrow, little girl. - Michael kissed her cheek.

-Until tomorrow, Mikey.- She repeated her gesture.

And there Aria stayed, watching as the love of her life went to his house and it was yet another day where she had not told him the feelings that were emerging from her heart for him. Michael walked to his home, while his head wandered in every part of her that was perfect for him, to the greatest imperfection.

The darkness came, causing the two adolescents, like every night, to lament the cowardice of not knowing how to express their feelings.
