ᴍɪᴄʜᴀᴇʟ ᴡᴀᴛᴄʜᴇᴅ ᴀꜱ ʜɪꜱ best friend chatted quietly with her classmates, causing a goofy smile on the blond's face.
-Michael? - Your friend Luke moved his hand trying to get his attention. - Did you hear what I said?
-Sorry, Luke, I didn't hear. - Michael let out a nervous laugh.
-When will you tell her? - The blond spoke, leaving the green-eyed confused. - That you're in love with Aria.
-I won't tell her, that would ruin our friendship. - He sighed.- The best thing is that I try to forget her.
-Come on Michael, you've tried a thousand times and it hasn't come out. - Luke threw his hands in the air.
-I'm not going to tell her and there's no more to talk about, Luke.- Michael growled, making his friend quiet.

Aria collected her things from her locker before she went home, she had stayed a little longer talking to the biology teacher as she had several doubts. His best friend was waiting for her at the door with some anxiety, he needed to have the redhead by his side.
-Listen to me, bitch. - Aria's head was glued to her locker, while Amelie cornered her with her arms. - Stop trying to steal Michael from me, I know you ate his head to leave me. - The blonde stuck her face to Aria's.- Stay away from him or you will suffer the consequences.
Amelie walked away, not without punching the pale white redhead, leaving a small cut on her cheek.
The girl's eyes began to fill with water and her lungs had difficulty breathing, so she chose to leave the building in search of Michael. The guy seeing his best friend with a cut on her face and knowing that seconds before her Amelie had left, assumed it was all the blonde's fault.
-Ari, what happened? - Michael grabbed the redhead's cheeks, wiping his tears.
She shook her head.
-Let's go to my house, okay? - She whispered.
-Aria, tell me. - He sued the blond.
-Michael please, now when we arrive.
He looked at his friend with supplication and nodded.

Aria was sitting on the toilet seat, while Michael was healing the wound on her cheek and the redhead was grimacing in pain. She didn't want to part with him, but she knew the blonde was so evil she'd be able to kill someone for achieving her goal. When the boy finished healing his wound, both went down to the grass waiting for the colors of the sunset as every day.
-Are you going to tell me what happened? - The boy asked again.
Aria stood in front of him, looked at the eyes that hypnotized her so much and breathed a big sigh.
-Amelie has threatened that if I don't get away from you, it will make me worse than what happened today. - Her voice is broken.
It was not the first time that the redhead received threats and beatings from the popular, she has always abused her fame in high school to make her look like the very shit in front of all the students. Michael knew perfectly everything that she had suffered and that many times, he had dumped her because of the blonde.
-This is the last straw! - He exclaimed in desperation. - Does she cheat on me and have to treat you like this? This is not going to stay this way.
-Leave it alone, Michael.- The redhead sighed. - Facing her will cause more problems.
-What do you mean by this, Aria? - The boy asked strangely.
The girl's eyes began to shed the tears she had been holding for a long time, she did not want to do this but if she did not, it would bring consequences for both of them and she could not let him suffer because of her. The blond man held the girl in his arms as he felt her pain.
They had such a connection, they were able to feel the slightest thing the other felt, is that why they're both in love?
-Breathe, honey. - Michael was giving small caresses on her back and hair.
-I think it's better that during school hours we don't see each other, Mike.-The girl whispered. - I don't want to do it, but I don't want anything bad to happen to us because of your crazy ex.
The boy felt his heart shrink, causing chest pain, and the expression on his face changed completely. Aria looked at him strangely, understanding that what she had said had affected her friend and not in a good way.
-Okay. - He just nodded. - I must go, see you tomorrow. - The blond rose from the grass, without even giving the characteristic kiss on her forehead.
-Michael, why are you leaving? - The girl asked.
Of course he heard her question, but he simply chose to leave before he was torn to pieces by her words. The redhead ran until reaching the blond.
-Michael, do not ignore me. - She begged while grabbing her friend, forcing him to turn around.
-Let it be Aria, yes? See you tomorrow, if you like. - He whispered and disappeared from the girl's sight.

Aria did not stop texting him all afternoon, but he just ignored them, making the girl not stop crying all afternoon and part night. She knew she shouldn't have said that, but she was just looking out for the best for both of them. Instead, Michael had more selfish thoughts according to him and wanted this to be over once and for all.
The girl was bowled over her bed when the alarm went off, her eyes hurt from the crying of the night before and her heart too. Michael hadn't slept a wink all night, either, but unlike her, she only had chest pain.
When the redhead arrived at school, she looked at her blonde friend and was determined to apologize and to tell him that what had come out of her mouth was a mistake. But it seemed like he hadn't understood the same or just didn't love her as much as she loved him, as he was hugging Amelie's waist and laughing happily with the blonde.
Aria's heart fell apart again, but this time those pieces turned to dust, knowing that she would not be able to put all the pieces back together.
