Payton's POV

Ding Dong! Sounded the door.

"I'll get it!" I yelled then scurried over toward the door. I looked through the peep hole to see who it was. 

I opened the door and next thing I knew the cold December air brushed against my cheeks and there before me was the all so famous Justin Studden. I pouted,"Why are you here?"

He cocked his head,"Well, I was expecting a welcome hello before any questions were asked." he said sheepishly.

"I''m going to ask again. Why are you here?!" I asked in an annoyed tone.

"Payton!" I heard mother yell from the other room."Yeah?"

"Natalie has a present she wants to give you!" she said cheerfully.

"One sec!" I yelled then turned back to Justin,"Fine, make your self at home but not too at home." I said then made my way into the other room.

Justin's POV

She's a little feisty. What happened? I came to visit her and all of a sudden she acts like I'm a stranger just coming by for no reason. 

I looked at the present I was gonna give to Peyton.

Should I still give it to her? It doesn't look like she'll enjoy it much. I hid it in my jacket right before Peyton came in holding a peice of paper.

"What is this?" she asked in a calm voice.

"What is what?" I asked then she threw the paper towards me. It was the letter I had sent her before I came. I told her mother that I hope she would forgive me for leaving so suddenly, but I didn't expect this!

"Oh," I said in amazement.

"Oh?! That's all you have to say?" she screamed.

I looked at her then looked back down at the letter. "What is wrong with you? T-To just leave me like that?!" she asked.

"I didn't just leave you." I said in a calm voice.

"Yes you did! Ylou just left without saying goodbye! I would have understood if you would have just told me!" she yelled. I stood up to try comfort her,"No! Stay away from me. I don't want to be more hurt than I all ready am..." she said. I saw a tear roll down her rosy cheeks.

I sighed slightly,"I'm sorry. But why are you so hurt? It's not like I was important to you or anything." I said as I looked at the navy blue carpeted floor.

She looked up at me. Tears filling her auburn colored eyes. I looked back down at the floor.

"You're right. You were important to me. But now your just another guy who has broken my heart." she said.

Her words stung in my head. Your just another guy who has broken my heart...

"You know what. I still don't know why your here. Just leave before you do anymore damage." she said then made her way into the kitchen. but I just stood there her words were still stuck in my mind.

Whats wrong with me? How could I have not noticed?

I took a glimpse of Payton playing with her cousins in the back yard. She look as beautiful as ever except for her broken heart inside. I sighed then walked over to Ms. Roberts. She was on the porch drinking hot chocolate when I approach her.

"Hey Justin! I gave the letter to Payton. She didn't react much though."

"Yeah, I noticed." I said then sat in the empty chair beside her.

"What happened?"

"She's mad at me for leaving." I said.

"Oh yeah. I remember that day you left. She came home crying her eyes out!" she laughed sightly. "She really seemed affected to your leaving. How is you guys' relationship?" Ms.Roberts asked.

"Oh, it's nothing now. Now, we're just strangers to each other now." I said. Ms.Roberts nodded in understatement then put down her hot chocolate. "Why don't you go talk to her. I'm sure that's she's just waiting for you to say something." said Ms.Roberts in a wise tone.

I nodded then headed over to Payton. She turned around like I wasn't even there and continued helping her cousin make a snowman.

"Payton." I said but she just ignored me.

"Look I came here to see you and all you're doing is ignoring me." I explained.

She sighed quietly then turned around slowly. "Really?" she said in a hopefully but doubtful tone.

"Really." I answered. She looked back at her cousin who was making snow angels."Nikki, I'll be right back." she said then lead me inside.

She lead me upstairs into  her room. Her room had purple covered walls with white hand prints. She spun around then found her way to her bed. She smiled then pulled out a pick envelope.

"This is for you." she said then handed me the pink envelope. I raised my eyebrow then opened it.

"Nope! Don't open it now!" she yelled then chased me down stairs. I ran and read the letter aloud as she chased me.

I grinned a little the letter said," I hope you've realized how much I like you. I guess not because you've called me nothing more then just a friend. But that okay as long as your happy I don't mind. Just don't ever leave me alone! I will never forgive you. :)

"No!" she yelled then sighed. I smiled then wrapped my arms around her. She did the same. The cold Decemebr air surrounded us. I looked up and next thing I knew I was staring at a miseltoe. She smiled then brushed her lips gently against mine.

And we lived Happily Ever After...

Just Kidding 

We played monopoly with her cousin's until my ride came.
