I am now standing in between both men at the bottom of the staircase.

"You let her leave the room looking like that?", Dream yelled in a whispered tone so no one else could hear him except Sapnap and me.

"Sir, it was either that or she wasn't coming at all," Sapnap states, defending me, although I think it was just to save his own ass. Then he proceeds to go to his designated chair.

Dream grabs my hand and suddenly I am engulfed in warmth. The physical touch is something I have been craving ever since Tommy said his goodbyes to me.

He sharply pulls me in closer so there was no longer any distance in between us. He leans a little down to reach my ear. "I gave you the contract to understand the rules."

I could feel his hot breath on my neck as he spoke.

I look at him, his face closer than it has ever been to mine.

"Oh I definitely read it". I tried to contain my anger.

"We will talk after", he firmly responded in a serious tone that honestly scared me.

He started walking towards the table of people pulling me with him. I saw all the seated people look in my direction and a lot of them had surprised expressions.

He seats me in a spot next to him and Sapnap and honestly I was a little grateful that out of all the Dream's people it was him.

I look up to see Wilbur is sitting directly across from me and shaking his head. He was the only other person here besides Dream and I that knows that I was even breaking a rule.

I glare back at him because I am tired of his shit.

"Thank you all for joining us for dinner. This is a momentous occasion in which I can now officially announce the engagement to my fianceé, (y/n)", Dream said with confidence.

Everyone claps, obviously confused but they still clap.

I look across the table until I make eye contact with Tommy. Despite everyone else, he isn't clapping.

Instead he just shakes his head and breaks the eye contact I had with him, now looking at his empty plate.

I wish he knew how much I wanted to go to the flower field one more time. I wish he knew that I didn't want to be here.

The dinner that was served was a variety of different meats and vegetables.

The majority of conversation was about what the engagement would mean for the country. No one was interested in talking to me and it made me wonder why I even had to go to such a pointless meeting. So I decided I would just zone out because as much as I tried to engage eye contact with Tommy, he couldn't even look at me.

Dream ended up giving me a huge ass ring to put on my finger. He said something like, "I want to solidify it, in front of all the important people in our life."
