We had now arrived in my bedroom, standing on opposite sides of the room, both of us refusing to engage in conversation.
"If you aren't going to say anything, would you please just go?". I finally decided on asking him, breaking the silence. It had been a long, tiring day and I was hoping to go to bed.
"I wish to say a lot of things (Y/n), but mostly I just want to ask you a question. How?," he asks, confusing me a lot more.
"How?"
"How stupid do you have to wear a dress like that to such an important meeting? Those men were looking at you in a way that only I should be allowed to do." Dream glances me up and down.
The way his eyes trailed every inch of my body made heat rise to my cheeks, I wasn't quite used to any man looking at me like the way he just did.
Pulling myself together, I answer his question. "I was trying to prove a point. I don't fear you and I break whatever damn rules I want to. I don't have to abide to anything you or Wilbur command me to do."
He doesn't answer me, instead he just studies me with his eyes. His gaze was striking what little confidence I had down. "Let me make this very clear to you, you will abide by the rules because I say so. Don't forget we aren't married yet and this solution will dissolve into nothing if I say so."
There was another pause in the conversation. I was trying my best to keep my composure despite the tone in his voice that just made me want to hide from the world.
"I am not going to kiss you Dream." I finally confess.
I don't know whether it was my serious tone or the actual words I was saying, but he burst out laughing.
"You almost ruined our chances of everyone taking you seriously, over some stupid, unimportant kiss." He continues to laugh which made my blood boil more than before.
I walk over to him, breaking the distance between us and slap him across the face, letting the anger fuel my attack.
Dream looked taken back, clearly surprised. However, he took matters into his own hands, literally.
He took his hand and grips on to the wrist of mine that I had just previously used to assault him.
He grips it tightly and looks me dead in the eyes. "Go to bed. Before I decide you deserve a worse punishment."
A shiver goes down my spine.
With those words still lingering in the air, he exits the room.
Part of me was a little grateful that he left before I could muster up the courage to respond to him because if he stayed, I have no doubt I would have said yet another thing to make him angrier than before. The other part was upset that it seemed despite my efforts, he still believes he holds all the power.
I mean I guess if I really think about it he does. I can't risk losing this chance to save Tommy and Tubbo from their fate of war.
I go towards my sole window and look out at it hoping to see something to comfort me because it was becoming clear that my thoughts no longer did. What else would Dream take away from me?
