"Stay out of that kitchen!" Kagura slams the door to the side and swings me out, "I'll cook tonight!" She winks, "Why would you want that hassle?" Kyo asks, "So that I can treat my beloved Kyo~" She pushes him, I flinch when she breaks down the door we just fixed, "Then let me help," I smile, "No worries, I can handle a simple meal on my own," She puts her orange cat backpack down, "Kyo dear, I hope you look forward to it," She hops into the kitchen and slides the doors behind her, "Kyo dear, you should have time to fix that door," Shigure lifts his paper up, I wince at the position he was in, "Kyo dear, let me help." I crouch down and help him up, "No really, I don't need it, I can do it myself," He looks at the wood and paper, "Mm, looking at the state of you, I highly doubt that," I start to get the tape and paper out, "She's giving me a headache," He hugs me and climbs onto my shoulders, "Don't say that, she loves you very much, don't you at least love the feeling that someone's there for you unconditionally?" I curse under my breath as I get a splinter in my finger, he hops down and uses his small mouth to pick my splinter out and he spits it away, "Kyo, don't make Yuki do all the work and cheat out by riding on her shoulders," Yuki looks up from his book, "No, it's fine, it's the least I can do saying that I'm living here," I finish taping the last piece of paper, "Done," I smile and put the sliding door back on the tracks, "You're such a dear." Shigure looks at me.
"Wow this looks delicious!" I look at all the food on the table, Kyo was still in his cat form and he laid in my lap, "It's amazing, you did this with the food in our fridge, wow!" I almost drooled, "Oh stop!" She giggles, "It looks great but how many people are you feeding?" Yuki looks at all the food, "You've got a point," I whisper to him, we sweatdrop, "So much for all our groceries." Shigure looks into the fridge, "I was so excited to cook for my true love that I might've gotten a little carried away," She seemed to have hearts coming out of her, "I'm not hungry," He turns his head away, "Come on Kyo, she made this fest for you, come on, up you get," I pick him up off my lap, he meowed in annoyance, I covered Kagura's eyes and I closed my own, there was a poof, "Done," He says, "Come on darling, eat up!" Kagura was so excited, "I told you, I'm not hungry!" He runs upstairs, "But darling!" She runs after him, we wait for them to come down, there was a yell and a huge thud, "You guys might have animal instinct but call me crazy, I got just a really bad feeling." I shudder, suddenly the ceiling gave out and Kyo crashed through the table, ruining all the food, "Oh my Kyo!" We saw Kagura's face from above, she runs back down, "I'll cook some more food right away!" She runs into the kitchen, "With what? There's nothing left in the fridge." Shigure says, "Go home already." Kyo rubs his head, she clutches onto the fridge doors shaking, she starts to cry, "Kagura." I try to stop her but she runs out, "Don't worry, I've got this one." Shigure stops me, I nod and take a step back, "Should I order take out?" Yuki grabs his phone, "I'll grab a katsudon," Kyo leans back, "Just give her a sec, will you please." I stand up, "Where are you going?" Yuki asks, "A girl can take a midnight stroll can't she?" I smile and head out the door.
"That'll be 3700 yen," The clerk says, "Here, I'll take care of it sir." I hand him the cash, I flash her a grin. The two of us were heading back, "Want me to carry some for you? It seems heavy," I offer, "I've got it," She says, I look up at the night sky, "Hey Yuki," She says, I perk up, "Yeah?" I look at her back, "Do you like Kyo?" She asks, I blush bright red, "Well I mean, if it's a yes or a no answer, I guess yeah. But like, I'd say I've always like the cat in the zodiac story, I guess you could call me a year of the cat fan," I start babbling, "Well I mean you two have known each other for a long time so it's no surprise you like him so much." I try to shift it onto her, "Yeah, I guess, I've known him forever, I remember the first time we met, we were kids, he was drawing a fried egg in the dirt," She stops walking and turns around, "A fried egg?" I tried not to laugh, "Yeah," She was sincere, "Makes sense, why you've always liked him," I smile, "Hey Yuki, I want to thank you. for coming to find me." Her ears were red, I link my arm around her neck, "Come on silly, let's head home, I'm sure the boys are starving," I grab the bag, her eyes light up, "Yeah," She smiles, "So what do you plan on making?" I ask, "I think hamburger steaks," She grins, "Wow sounds delicious, my mouth is already watering," I say, she giggles, "Want me to help when we get back," I offer, "Yeah, I'd love that." She nods, the two of us talking and giggling on our way back.
