I was whistling as I was walking home, "Guess I'm stuck here for a while," I look up at the sky as it started drizzling with rain, I had just bought groceries for tonight, "What are you doing here?" I felt a pair of lips on my head, "Hey Haru," I say without looking, "Why are you-" I look at him and he was dripping wet, "Haru! You're gonna catch a cold!" I freak out, "Did you get lost again?" U grab my handkerchief and wipe his face, "What the hell have you been doing?" I sigh, "I've been out, looking for her." He shows me the bundle in his arms, I saw a tiger, I freaked out, "A-A tiger!!" I jumped away from him, "This is Kisa Sohma. Careful, her teeth are sharp." He says, I slowly sit back down with him, "Hello, I'm Yuki Nariko, can I-" I reach out to pet her head but she chomps on my hand, "Oh my God." I fell back.
"Oh dear, you got nibbled on?" Shigure looks at my hand, Haru was wrapping my hand up in a bandage, "Yeah um... maybe I should've expected it." I sweatdrop as he ties it up, I fluff Haru's hair up with a towel, "And this idiot ran out without an umbrella or anything, he was soaked when I saw him," I use the towel to dry his hair, "Kisa, come here and apologise." Shigure says, "No, she doesn't need to, it's fine, really." I turn around, "Kisa!" Shigure scolds, "Shigure, it won't work, she doesn't talk." Haru says, "Wha?" I look at him, "Kisa can't talk, she stopped soon after she started middle school. She's mute. According to Tori it's psychological she's locked up all of her words inside. With everything that's happened she stopped talking. Stopped going to school, then today, she ran away from home. That's why I was looking for her, didn't expect to find her in tiger form though," He looks at her, "Did she bump into a guy?" I ask, "Seems like she was just exhausted." He sighs, "So what made her stop talking and stop going to school?" Shigure sits down, "Kids. Bullies." He says, Kisa ran up to the table and bit down on Haru's bicep, "Haru! Oh my God!" I quickly got the bandages from the medical box, "That hurts." He says unfazed, "Telling me not to shoot my mouth off, well sorry that's too bad. Do you have any idea how worried I've been about you, and I'm not the only one. Your mum's been looking all over for you." He says, Kisa let go of Haru's arm and ran off, "I didn't know you and Kisa were so close." I stand up, Shigure and him look at each other, "You jealous?" They ask, "No!" I turn my head to the ceiling, "I'm going to look for Kisa," I huff, "Love you." Haru calls after me, "Hate you too." I grin and slide the door.
I walked out and I saw Kisa faced towards a wall near the back of the house, "Oh hey Kyo, what are you doing?" I saw him crouched down with her, "Nothing really," He stands up, "No, stay here with us." I grab his arm, "There you are," I smile, I accidentally spooked her, "I was looking all over for you," I reach out, she whips around and bites my hand, "No! It doesn't hurt, nup! Not one tiny bit," I felt tears prickle, "Kisa!" Kyo shouts, "Well, do you want to come inside, everyone's worried about you." I hold back tears at the pain slowly throbbing up my arm, "Kisa," The three of us turn to the voice, "Kisa, I've been looking everywhere for you." The lady says, my eyes widen, I realised it was Kisa's mum, "Shigure called, he wanted to let me know you've been found. Please, why are you doing this. You're causing trouble for everyone, did you even stop to think about it for one second? Do you enjoy making things hard for me?" She crouches down, "Why didn't you tell me about those kids who were bullying you? Why did you run away from home. Why won't you say anything?" She sighs, "I'm so tired, I can't take this anymore." Her eyes lost their shine, "She couldn't tell you. When you're being bullied like that, it's hard to talk about. I know, it happened to me." I smile softly, Kyo's eyes widen, "You're lucky, you've got your mum to talk to about this stuff. When mum died, I just shut down. I didn't talk to anyone for a long time, my eyes lost their shine, I went mute just like how you did. My friends were the only thing holding me from that point, the amount of times I tried to take my life then, I was tired. So tired." Kyo whips towards me, "Then I remembered all those times mum was there for me, all the dreams she had for me and the goals she wanted me to achieve. That's when I started opening up to my friends again, they were so relieved when I opened my mouth again, they almost cried." I pet her back, "Then I met the Sohma's. Yuki, Shigure, Haru... Kyo. All of them are so precious to me now, I can't imagine life without any one of them alongside with me." I look at Kyo, tears in my eyes, "I understand why Kisa couldn't tell you." I look at her mum, "Because she loves you." I smile, her eyes widen and she cried, there was a poof of pink and i felt someone caress my hand, I saw a little girl crying and she held my hand to her cheek, I held her close and I felt Kyo put his jacket over her, I put my head on his shoulder and closed my eyes.
"Kisa's staying here?" Kyo had a towel around his shoulders, "Yeah, she's fast asleep though so keep your voice down," I put a finger to my lips, we zipped her up in Kyo's tracksuit jacket and I placed her under a blanket, he sits down next to me, "You're lucky. Kisa." He puts his head on my shoulder "Have I got two sleepy kitties by me," I smile and run my fingers through his hair, "Shut up." He smiles and before I knew it, he was fast asleep, "Sweet dreams," I pet Kisa's hair and kiss Kyo's head.
It's been three days since Kisa's been with us, I came out of the bathroom, "Thanks for waiting for me, though it is a little embarrassing knowing there's someone outside waiting, she doesn't say anything but grabs my skirt, I erupt into cuteness, I pet her tiger ears. I go up to the roof hanging laundry, "Thank you very much for your help!" I smile and grab the sheets from her, she nods and picks up the next one ready for me to grab, she's stuck to me like glue since that conversation we had, I went down to do the dishes after lunch, she stayed right by my side the entire time just watching, "Aww, she's like a little duckling, it warms my heart." Shigure looks up from his paper, Kyo grumbles, "Don't be jealous kitty. You're equally my favourite felines." I don't turn around, Shigure bursts out laughing, "I'm not jealous." Kyo blushes, "What's for dinner," He changes the subject, "Is there anything you want for dinner?" I ask Kisa, she opens her mouth but then shuts it again, "Come on, you can at least say what you like so you don't starve to death." Kyo says, her eyes seemed distant, I think for a while, "I've got an idea! Tada!" I rip up pieces of paper and throw them into a bowl and shake it up, "Aha! Leaving dinner up to chance," Shigure knocks his hand, "Mmhm," I nod, "Ready, reach in and pick something out, you'll decide what we eat for dinner," I hold the bowl down to her, she slowly reaches her hand in and takes out a strip of paper, she opens it up, "We've got a winner, scrambled eggs and chives." I read it out, I snicker, "I feel personally attacked right now, always chives." Kyo pales, I sit on his shoulders, "Come on, chop chop! How about the three of us go shopping," I kick my legs lightly on his chest, he groans and stands up, I squealed, "Up, up!" I laughed and grabbed onto his head, "I can't remember the last time I've been on someone's shoulders, must've been when I was tiny and I rode my dad's shoulders," I laughed, Kyo looked down, "Careful, duck, we're getting to the door," He says, I nod, "Come on Kisa! Let's go," I turn around, she lights up and runs after us.
After a while, I jumped off Kyo's shoulders, "Would you like to pick out a treat, my present," I crouch down, she nods and runs off to pick a sweet, "Why do we seriously have to eat eggs and chives?" Kyo groans, "Kisa's mum called me earlier today, she's been thinking of her and she said that her favourite was eggs and chives. I actually wrote that on every sheet of paper, sorry." I scratched the back of my head, he sighs, "You're so stupid you know that," He smiles and kisses my temple, Kisa ran back with a sweet in her hands, "Alright, are we ready to head back," I look at the two of them, they nod, Kisa took but Kyo and my hand and the three of us were walking to the checkout, we quickly paid and were starting to walk back home, "KYO SOHMA! YOU FIEND!" group of boys showed up, "Who are you?" He towers over them, Kisa gripped our hands tighter, "How dare you! Rule number 1 NEVER EVER have children with the Princess till after marriage! Rule number 53 NEVER allow the Princess to carry groceries or bags when another is able to hold them for her!" They boomed, "Oh wait, you guys are the Princess Yuki Fanclub aren't you?" I snap my fingers, "Yoshino Mogatori right?" I ask, he cries, "In my three years at Kaibara High School have I never felt this much happiness that you've noticed me." The rest of the boys start crying, Kisa was getting overwhelmed, "Can you guys beat it, we need to head home to start dinner and you're scaring Kisa." Kyo glares at them, they all gasped, "THE OVERLYING RULE THAT HOLDS THE PRINCESS YUKI FANCLUB HAS BEEN BREACHED BY THE ONE AND ONLY KYO SOHMA! NEVER SHARE A HOUSE WITH THE PRINCESS!" They all roared, we sweat, "This is cute and all but think about it. Isn't it in your best interest to always keep your princess happy?" I ask, "Why of course, I'll do anything! As club president I'll so anything in my power to keep you happy," He goes onto one knee and grabs my hand ready to kiss it, Kyo kicks him far away, "Well you ought to know, this man keep me very happy and this little girl also does too so I'd say stay away from them, alright?" I had a dark look on my face, "W-Why of course," They all nod, "Now beat it." Kyo snarls, they all disappeared without a trace, "What the hell was that about?" I finally let the facade disolve and I was trembling, "Those idiots have been pestering me for God knows how long now. They always see us together so they keep tormenting me, idiots. Tch." Kyo grabs my bags, "But they were right, I'll hold the bags, you grab Kisa, she's petrified." He says, I pick up Kisa, "Are you okay?" I ask, she wraps her arms around my neck and buries her face into it, "I'm sorry you had to go through that, you must be terrified, behind surrounded by a group of screaming boys. Then again, isn't that what it's always like during the banquet," I lift her face up, she starts giggling, "There's that smile," I hug her tight, the three of us started walking home.
