RUEL

"Welcome, Hina! Hope you guys had fun", my mom says with a cheer. We just both nodded in sync. I gestured to Hina that she could go to my room and wait. I had to talk to my mother.

"Hey, Mom. Can I ask you something?" "Yeah, what's up?" "I'm wondering if Hina could stay over since it's super late." My mom looks somewhat confused. She looks as though she's about to say that Hina literally lives next door but stops. "Okay. Then can you help me prepare the guest room for her?" I nod and get to work.

HINA

I assume that my parents are fast asleep by now and text them. I plan on staying the night. So I tell them. Surprisingly, I receive an immediate response from my mother.

Mom: Okay. We trust you. Don't do anything suspicious.

Me: mom, if you trust me why are you questioning me those.

Mom: just making sure

I smile, thinking about how little logic my mom has sometimes. Once I place my phone down and wait for Ruel, he opens the room door.

"I've prepared the guest room for you", he smiles and gestures me to the guest room.

"Thank you", I reply.

He shows me where the towels are. He has prepared everything for me except I have one thing missing. I don't have spare pajamas. I have to get them from home. I sigh in my head.

"Hey Ruel", I knock at his bedroom door. I hear foot steps and the door opens. "Hey, what's up?" "I'm just going to pop by my house to grab some pajamas", I say. He stares at me, blanked, spaced. "Oh right! Sorry. I could lend you some clothes? It's no trouble." I shake my head. "It's fine, you're already letting me stay", I insist. "You really aren't a burden. It's fun having some company here", he stops and realizes what he has just said and blushes. "Hold on", he says. I hold on. Ruel then comes back with a pare of sweats and a shirt. "Here, they may be huge on you but you won't have to walk back", he's too sweet. "Thank you." I walk back to my guest room and change. I end up having to roll up the sweats in order to somewhat stay on my waist. The shirt situation... it goes down to my mid-thigh area. But the feeling of these clothing are like a luxurious worn type. They give off a warm touch even if you put them in the fridge. These clothes equal to coziness and comfy. I give a good inhale, smelling all of the scents in the shirt. I completely get held back by it. Did he seriously just spray cologne on this shirt? This shirt is either dangerous territory that he hasn't washed in ages or he sprayed it for genuine comfort. I don't know and I hope it's the second option.

I flop onto the guest bed. My body sinks in to the mattress. The duvet crinkles: white and orange linen. I close my eyes to see the colourful streaks floating in the blackness, and flashing. It's been a long night. I peer to the clock next to the bed: 01:34. Gosh, it's late... My mind slowly starts to drift and disintegrate into air.

WRITER: Hello! Sorry for not updating for a while :/ If you read one of my other books, Neighborhood, you will know already that I have been having a hard time of writing these chapters. Ruel has "began a new era". This means that I am now writing about the younger Ruel, which is hard for me.

If you also have read the last chapter, you would know that I have had very little time to write these chapters due to school. School has been an issue but I am now on break.

Thanks to a fellow reader Klargon , they have inspired me to publish another chapter :) Thanks 2 em! =]

Ok, that's all. Thank uu <3
