🔹Twenty Eight🔹

Erin's Point Of View

Well it's a shocking news to me. I never thought that they're very related to each other like a tangle string. The world seems so small.

"Then, why did they look like a stranger to each other?" I asked some questions anyway.

"They broke up. She hurted him, not cheating but dissing him. Mingyu said maybe she had her own purpose by doing it but I didn't see any. Mingyu wanted to back her up at all cost. She went to another school after that, left the painful memories to Seungcheol." Jihoon said monotonously.

"Ouh what's that?" Jihoon snapped me back into reality when I had a deep thought about the story I just heard. He pointed at the container I've been holding since I stepped out from the school ground. "Seungcheol's mom wants me to pass him this after the school ended. It's a lunchbox," I answered, play with the hem of the container's wrapper until we arrived infront of the hospital.

We rush towards Seungcheol ward and surprise to see that he's already awake. His gummy smiles make me at peace, I don't need to worry him getting hurt no more. The club members having a fun conversation with him, yes that's what the president should be, the sporting leader.

"Seungcheol-ssi, your mom made you this. She wants me to pass it to you after the school ended," I pass him the lunchbox.

He gives me a weird look, not even touch the container yet. "Who are you?" He asked in confusion. I step back a little, "You don't know me?" I pointed at myself. "Had the doctor took off the screw in your head?" I asked, jokingly.

"She's our new secretary named Erin. Eyyy~ You should know her better since you used to hang out with her more often back then," Jeonghan said, chuckling playfully.

"What? New secretary? Who allowed you to replace Serin with some random girls?" He bursted out in anger. My breath hitched, "Wait, what?" I asked in disbelief.

Before a chaotic situation happen in here, the doctor came to tell me something. "Erin-ssi, could I talk to you for awhile?" Everyone turns their head towards the doctor direction. "O-ouh, okay. Excuse me, guys." "Let me go along with you," Jihoon said. We walked out from Seungcheol's ward.

"Perhaps.. is he having a memory loss?" I asked, fiddling with my finger nervously. "I'm so sorry to say this but it more worse than that. We just finished make a details check-up on him and something seems off. He tend to remember the past instead of the present. This means his brain is living on his past events," the doctor explained to me in details.

"And what do you mean is?" I need a confirmation for my deep thought. "His brain lives in 2017 right now and the memories after that year need to recreate back. Whatever happened in 2017, proceed with it and make sure no flaws at all or it might be disturb his mind if his memories got tangle with the sudden changes." It seems hard to understand those things but I think I caught the meaning behind of it.

"What should we do then?" Jihoon asked. "I think it's better if you put him around the person he used to talk and comfortable from 3 years ago. I know it sounds difficult but please do it for him to get heal," the doctor said before ask a permission to leave for her other duty.

"You should be the one who need to be by his side since he comfortable around you. Oh no- wait-" Jihoon frowned after let out such opinion.

"Shit. Does it means he doesn't even know your existence?"
