Headcannon. Dick absolutely loves finding stupid, cheesy, ways to say "I love you" to Don, or dumb excuses to kiss Don. He doesn't really need an excuse to shower affection on his bf, but silly excuses make Don laugh, and Dick likes hearing Don laugh.
