No body, No crime

A/n: This chapter is a bit longer, and it might also not all be related to the song lyric. It starts off to do with the lyrics, but I kind of got a bit carried away. Btw this is written as if Andy and Robert are dating and everyone knows they are dating 😂

'That ain't my jewellery on our joint account."

Andy's pov
"Maybe you ordered something by accident if you were just looking on online shops or something?" Maya suggested, but I shook my head.
"Why would I be looking at jewellery? You know I can't even wear it with our job," I snapped, maybe a little to harshly. I sighed, this wasn't Maya's fault. "Sorry, I shouldn't of snapped. I'm just... I wish I knew what was going on," I said, sighing again. Maya put her hand on my shoulder to comfort me, and then pulled me into a hug.
"I know, you don't have to apologise. But let's just try and think of other possibilities before we jump to conclusions," she said calmly. I knew she was right, but I was just panicking.
"Are you sure it was definitely a jewellery store? He couldn't of just done a huge food shop or something?" Maya asked.
"It was definitely a jewellery store Maya, see for yourself," I said, pulling my phone out. I showed her the transaction of $1,327 at a jewellery store a couple of blocks away.
"It doesn't say what it is, he could've been buying himself a watch or something," she said, and I remembered just how stubborn my best friend was. When she wanted to convince someone something, she would stop at nothing.
"Maya be real about this, you know he wouldn't buy a watch that expensive," I said. She nodded in agreement, and let out a breath of annoyance.
"He's not cheating on you Andy," she said, but she sounded like she was trying to convince herself as much as me. I wish what she was said was true. I would never have thought that Robert would be the sort of person to cheat on me. We're so happy together, and we always talk to each other about everything. So why would he do that? I know I have no solid proof, and I don't want to jump to conclusions, I really don't, but why else would he be spending over a thousand dollars at a jewellery store?

Robert's pov
I stood in the jewellery store looking at all of the engagement rings. I wanted to find the perfect ring, even though I know Andy will only be able to wear it when she's off shift. After looking over the whole selection of rings, I finally picked one out. The band was an infinity twist of small diamonds, and then there was one bigger diamond in the centre. It was beautiful, I knew Andy would love it.
I walked over to the checkout to pay and pulled out my card. I knew it was risky paying with card seeing as Andy and I have a joint account, but the ring was over a thousand dollars and I didn't have that much in cash. After thanking the cashier person, I walked out of the store and drove home. I knew Andy was at work, so I still had time to prepare everything. However, I  also knew I would need a bit of help, so I called Lucas and asked him to come over. About ten minutes later I heard a knock on the door, so I went to open it. "Hey Luke," I greeted him.
"Hey Sully, are you ready to do this?" He asked, patting me on the shoulder and coming inside.
"Yes, I'm scared as hell, but I love Andy, and I want to spend the rest of my life with her, so yeah, I'm ready," I said, and my friend smiled at me.

Andy's pov
"Maya what am I supposed to do? He's gonna be there when I get home and... I don't know what to do... I love him Maya and he's... he's not the sort of person to do something like that... at least that's what I thought," I said as Maya and I walked towards our cars. We'd just finished our shift and were finally heading home for the night.
"Honestly Andy, I don't know what you should do. I don't know Sullivan that well, but if the way you talk about him is anything to go by, then he sounds like an amazing man. And if you don't think he's the sort of person to cheat on you, then I believe you. But if you want to know the truth, then he's the only person who can tell you that. So go home, and ask him. Talk to him," Maya comforted me, and I nodded.
When I got home, I noticed that all the lights were off. I couldn't help but think that that was strange. Robert's car was in the driveway, so he must be home, and he usually waits up to see me when I get home from work.
I walked up to the front door and took a deep breath. I unlocked the door, and I was about to call out to Robert to let him know I was home when something caught my eye. On the floor by my feet, was a rose petal. My eyes drifted down the hallway and I saw that it was lined with them. "Robert?" I called out, confused, but I got no reply. Slowly, I put my bag down and started to follow the path of rose petals, all the way up the stairs until I reached mine and Robert's bedroom. The door was shut, and there was a whole pile of rose petals in front of it, with a small chocolate heart on top of them. I giggled slightly, and lent down to pick it up. After unwrapping it and eating it, I put my hand on the door handle. I wasn't sure what was going on still but I guess I was about to find out. As I opened the door and saw what was happening behind it, I let out a gasp of surprise.
"Andy I've been in love with you for a long time now, I love you more than I have ever loved anyone ever before. I love everything about you. I love how much I can trust you, I love how you're always there for me when I need you. I love how we talk to each other about everything. You once said that I was the safest place you have, and truthfully, I feel the exact same way about you. I love you Andy, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. So, Andrea Herrera, will you marry me?" Robert said, as he looked up at me. I felt my eyes filling with tears of happiness as I nodded my head.
"Yes! Yes yes yes! I love you too!" I squealed excitedly, and Robert stood up to kiss me, before slipping the ring onto my finger. "It's beautiful," I said, smiling at him.
"Just like my fiancé," he replied.
