A/N POV

Byul was truly bothered by what was happening. If it weren't for this irrational love she felt, perhaps she and Hyejin would be okay. She also didn't know how she would feel when she saw Wheein. They were close, but she didn't know that Wheein was into Hyejin. All she knew was that they were best friends. It had never occurred to her because the two were so feminine. Well, everybody has secrets, and here she was, feeling torn about what the best thing to do was. She had hurt Solar. She couldn't leave Solar at this moment, not after what had happened a moment ago. She knew Solar loved her, but she just ignored it, accustomed to receiving love and attention from Solar. She knew she couldn't leave without her.

Byul knocked on Solar's door.

Byul: "Yongsun-ah..."

She kept knocking on the door for 30 minutes, but there was no response from Solar. She tried to open the door; it wasn't locked. Byul cautiously entered the room, which was filled with darkness, only the sound of Solar sobbing could be heard. She sat on the edge of the bed, unsure of what to say or do to make up with Solar. She knew how terrible her actions were; she didn't deserve someone like Solar. Solar was such a good person, beautiful inside and out.

Byul heaved a deep sigh.

Byul: "Yongsun-ah, mianhe...jeongmal mianhe...I don't know why I directed my anger towards you. You don't deserve me. I just feel so broken; it's tearing me apart, and I don't know what to do."

After a while, without a single word from Solar, Byul left her alone.

Solar felt hurt after what Byul had done to her, but when Byul came to her room and asked for forgiveness, she held herself back from giving in too easily. She needed to suppress herself and maintain a little dignity. She gave Byul all the love she needed, even without wanting it in return, but it all ended up like this. She let Byul leave, uncertain about what would happen to them.

Solar's POV

The week had passed by so easily. Solar had gone to Jeju Island to ease her mind, but thoughts of Byul kept creeping into her mind. She tried to push them away and enjoy her vacation. As she walked along the beach, admiring the sunset, a flock of seagulls flew towards her. Unsure of what to do, she sat down and covered her head, afraid of what might happen next. Suddenly, someone grabbed her hand and pulled her away to safety. As they ran, Solar tried to figure out who her unexpected savior was. Exhausted from running, she collapsed to her knees in the sand, feeling tired, scared, and surprised by the man's actions. As she caught her breath, she thanked her savior.

Solar: "Thank you... I owe you my life."

The man looked at her with admiration. As they both regained their breath, he extended his hand to introduce himself.

Eric: "Hi, I'm Eric Nam."

Solar: "Yongsun. Thank you for saving me." She shook his hand and smiled shyly.

Eric gave a warm smile to the girl he saved. He could tell she was frightened when he saw her dodging a flock of seagulls. Instead of running away, she just sat there, as if she were food ready to be eaten. She was cute but a little foolish for staying put. Out of curiosity, he ran to her and grabbed her hand to lead her to safety, not knowing who she was. When they stopped running off the shore and turned to see the girl's face, he was surprised to see Solar of Mamamoo. "What is she doing here? Why is she alone?" He looked around for any cameras but found none. They were a bit far from the hotel. Wondering, she asked Solar.

"Eric: Why are you here? Where's your staff?"

Solar was surprised by Eric's question. She felt tense; she was a real fool. Of course, she was an idol; everybody knew her face. Out of shame and fear, not knowing the man, she got up quickly, thanked him, and said goodbye. But before she could take two steps, Eric held her wrist.

"Eric: Hey! Don't worry, I'm harmless. I'm Eric Nam. You don't know me, but I also work in the music industry. I'm a DJ/MC." He gave Solar a sweet smile. He knew she got tense when he asked about the camera and crew; most celebrities denied having privacy.

Solar was a little shocked but managed to remain calm. Eric seemed to be a good person; she could see it in his face and eyes that he didn't want to harm her. The sun was setting, and the beach was getting dark.

"Solar: I have to go, Eric. It's getting dark."

"Eric: Let's go together. I'll walk you to your hotel."

"Solar: Okay." They silently walked to her hotel.

"Eric: Are you free tonight? Do you want to dine out? I know a good place. It's not crowded. Besides, you owe me one for saving you."

Solar was startled by Eric's invitation. She thought twice before replying. Well, what would she do in her room? Nothing. She nodded and said, "Okay." As Eric stared at her, waiting for her reply, she felt uncomfortable. She turned her face in another direction to avoid eye contact with him. He was cute and good at English.

At the hotel, Eric asked for Solar's phone number to keep in touch. She hesitated for a moment but eventually gave it to him. Eric said goodbye and "See you later, Sunnie..."

The dinner went well for the two of them. They ate a lot; Eric had chosen a spot that wasn't crowded with good food. She enjoyed the view. After their dinner, they drank tea on the rooftop, overlooking the ocean in the moonlight.

"Solar: Wow, what a view." She closed her eyes and felt the night ocean breeze.

"Eric: I'm glad you like the place," he said, smiling. "How long is your stay here?"

Solar looked at Eric but couldn't hold his gaze for too long.

"Solar: One week. It's my last night tonight. I'll be back in Seoul early tomorrow."

She could see a hint of sadness in Eric's expression at her words, but she was thankful for their brief encounter; she had gained a new friend. They had a good conversation throughout the evening. Eric was such a good person, with a sense of humor. At the end of the night, he escorted her back to her hotel and bid farewell. She felt Eric hesitating to say goodbye, but it was already late.

"Eric: Bye, Sunnie..." He waved a little.

"Solar: Bye, Eric..." She waved back.

"Eric: Bye, take care..." He waved again.

"Solar: You too." She smiled, nodded, and waved.

They parted ways happily. Solar went back to her room to pack her luggage; she had an early flight the next day.
