The Planning

Harry, in the furthest place from where he was raised, oddly felt more at home than ever before. No one could recognize him, and coming from a small town, it was so different. Back there, everyone knew each other, there was no way to avoid it. But here? In a Leaky Cauldron hotel room with the enchanting girl he'd only met a few days before? No one recomgized him but her. It was lovely.

He also had acquired his first wand, which was just as lovely. Harry had told the wandmaker and Leaky Cauldron owner his name was Pixxa Foiler, which neither seemed to question. Luna had gone by Joy Hayworth. He was so estatic that the potion had concealed them so well. Luna had bought him some first year schoolbooks and said she'd help teach him some spells soon, which was exciting

"What's our next move?" he and Luna sat lounged about in their hotel room, each on their separate beds as they rested.

Luna propped herself up. "We simply coexist."

Harry sighed. "That's not exactly satisfactory."

"Well, Foiler," she said, "what's there to do? We're set for all supplies and can stay here, or wherever we want, indefinitely."

He frowned. "I want answers, though."

Luna looked deep in thought before snapping her fingers. "Let's go to Hogwarts," she said.

Harry's eyes widened. "That's... not exactly what I meant by getting answers."

"It's the perfect situation to find out what's been going on," she smiled dreamily, "Who better to ask why you were lied to about being a wizard your entire life than the person who lied himself?"

"Even if we got close enough to ask him," Harry insisted, "there's no way he'd tell us."

"Not Harry or Luna," she agreed, "But with Snape and Trelawney?"

"They already know," Harry replied, "They already know why Dumbledore lied to me about this shit, don't they? They were both right there in the mist of it all. Would seem a little suspicious if people asked for information they already knew, wouldn't it?"

Luna shook her head. "I don't think they know why they're being instructed to lie to you. They just do it, cause it's the Headmaster, and it was seeming to keep you relatively safe and out of the limelight."

Harry paused. "So... you really think they'd just follow orders without explanation? And you suspect this why?"

Luna gave a dreamy smile. "Just a hunch," she said. Harry sighed, but her offer really was tempting. It'd ben
easy enough to get whatever they needed for the Polyjuice potion to turn into Snape and Trelawney, especially if they made it at Hogwarts. It'd be their more garuenteed way of getting answers.

But at the same time, who knew the consequences if they failed?

And what if both teachers had already been informed of Dumbledore's greater plan and they were caught, right off the bat? And if Dumbledore just didn't tell them?

Luna, though, she knew the Headmaster better than Harry, who didn't know him at all. He could trust her, trust her evaluation of the man... or reject the idea entirely.

"Yeah," Harry said at last, "Yeah let's do it. Let's Hogwarts me the fuck up."

Luna beamed. "That's the spirit, Snape!" Harry laughed.

"If we're doing this," Harry joked, "I'm not being Snape."

"Yes, you are," Luna said decidedly, "I'd make a terrible Snape, Snape."

"You definitely would, wouldn't you?" Harry sighed. "And don't call me Snape until I'm actually Snape, alright!"

Luna just giggled. "Let's get some rest. We'll put more detail into the plan tomorrow."

Though Harry wanted to look more into his new wizard books, he knew he was exhausted. "Yeah," he said, closing the book on first year potions and putting it on the nightstand, "Sleep well, Joy." He put his glasses on the nightstand beside his favorite new book and wand.

Luna muttered a spell, the light illuminating the room going out afterward. "To you too, Pixxa. May the Stars bless your dreams." Harry would question her new strangest saying, but sleep engulfed him before he could.

Harry dreamt of the lovely, magical life he could've had at Hogwarts, his mind making up vibe details of interesting friends and exciting sports and classes. Harry woke up sad at first, realizing he hadn't been raised that way at all, he'd been robbed of the childhood meant for him as well as robbed if his parents, and then he got angry.

That wasn't the right word; too mild for what he was feeling. Too mild. Vengeful described his feelings better, he thinks. He felt vengeful as hell.

I'm gunna find out why the hell you stuffed me in an orphanage with a bastard who hates me, Harry thought, and your excuses better be pretty fucking good or else whoever the fuck this Voldemort is won't be your biggest threat.

"You know," Luna said, startling him from his thoughts, "You can't let anger steal your soul."

"Wha-"

"If you lose your temper in there," Luna continued, "We're fucked, to put in bluntly."

Harry exhaled deeply. "Alrighty," he said, "I'll... work on not being so pissed." He knew, though, that this would prove a futile effort.

"I'm not saying you can't be mad, Harry. You should be. You have every right to be," she locked eyes with him, "But one off vibe would could land us both back up to where we started. Exactly where we don't want to be. So try not to snap at anyone- you're not the most experinced wizard."

Harry laughed. "I can do that."

They ate breakfast quietly, setting aside their dishes once finished. They needed to plan, how they'd get to Hogwarts in the first place for instance, and how'd they have to force themselves to act as the teachers they'd be impersonating.

Harry could not help but wonder if the risk was worth the reward. He finally decided, though, that he was tired of being in the dark.

It was time to take action.
